Why Over the Moon with Joy

I am new to the blogging world, though I have been posting on a different site for the past few months, under the loving guidance of a sweet girlfriend whom I love, With Great Joy, she recommended that I consider moving to a more user friendly site. Thanks Stacy.

I thought about keeping my old blog name-Growing Along Together and just transferring everything to this new site. However, a few weeks back as I began the praying and pondering stage, I received an email from a dear friend of ours who is a missionary in the Ukraine, though he is Scottish through and through-all 70 something blessed years of him! 'Uncle Fred' visits with us every October and has been following via email our family's recent adoption of a sibling group of 3. He sent us a congratulatory email that said, "You must be over the moon with joy..."

As I read the words the Holy Spirit began to sing it over me....over the moon with joy, over the moon with JOY! How true it is, though I had never before put it in those words, my dear husband and I are truly Over the Moon with Joy! I popped off a quick email to 'Uncle Fred'-at the children's home in the Ukraine, letting him know that yes we were so happy that God had indeed added these children to our family and that I would somehow be using that beloved phrase ,"Over the moon with joy," in more of our daily conversations.

I am hoping that others who may be pondering adoption may find my blog and that I can encourage them to embark, Lord willing, on beginning their own adoption story. We are greatly blessed and thankful that when we submitted the plan of having a family over to God, when the world told us that it wouldn't be, that God smiled down, blessed us and began to show us his plan for what our family and our home should be. We are now a family with 6 children, hopefully we will continue to embark on this wonderful journey adding more beautiful children to "us."
Hebrews 1:1-2
1God, who, at sundry times and in divers manners, spoke in times past to the fathers by the prophets, last of all,
2In these days hath spoken to us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the world.
