My amazing God...read on...

Okay- though I had hoped to leave our list# post up for a few more days, I just can't wait a minute longer to tell you what God has been doing here!

First, we received a phone call from Immigrations - they had received our paperwork and checks...they called to tell us, the day I posted our '#26 on the list', that they were going to waive our fee...so $670 dollars back to us...renewed for 18 more months to adopted...also refused to take our $$ for more fingerprinting...$160 back to us....also gave us a 'walk in' when we are ready to do the fingerprinting (where as last time we had a 3 month wait for a fingerprinting)....

....yesterday my daughter had oral surgery...we had no dental to cover it. The bill was $1485.00 - that had to be paid in cash/check or charge the day of surgery (exposure and bonding-the kid has BAD teeth)needed before she could have braces as the teeth need to be uncovered and dragged into place (*really crooked, and missing teeth)...I prayed believing God would cover every penny of this surgery...why you might ask, well because my Father (God) loves me/HER, because this little girl who needed surgery was adopted (which was a bunch of years ago, but we gave everything we had to do it).

...I prayed with my children believing we would see his goodness over this financial need. Well, today we came home from church and opened our mail...in it was a refund check from a surgery my husband had last month (to remove 5 huge moles from his face that they were "concerned" about)...refunding him $880.00 (claiming 'insurance picked it up', which it did not because, we have a $3000.00 deductable that we haven't met for the year).

Lets see...$670.00 + 160.00+ $880.00= $1710.00 in two days. He indeed is an awesome God. And for the record, we believe in tithing (giving the Lord our 1st 10% of what we make) and giving (as He leads us), we believe in extravagant giving (why? well, why not?) The money isn't ours anyway...it is His, he lets us use it, and we just give it all back to him. Scripture tells us clearly, "those who honor God, God will honor."

My prayer is that each of you would be blessed too, that my sharing would stir you to believe and you would set your eyes firmly on him.

Also, for the record...my prayer is that my life and our adoptions would spark others to do the same-He is able to make a way...ask him to give you the vision! He has given it to me and I am praying for you- can't wait to see what He is going to do. Hang on, we are about to embark on a WILD RIDE!!

Kimmie! How cool is that! We have seen this time and again when we allow God to bless and not move ahead of his plan.

Praise God!

I love hearing how God works amazing things! This is soooo cool. My {hubby's} biggest concern about even thinking about the adoption process is 'the money'. It's awesome to see that when God is in it - He can make things happen.

Rejoicing with you today! javamamma

Ok, well...now I am about to cry! Oh, Kimmie, thank you so much for the encouragement!!! Here we sit believing God to provide every penny for our adoption but still wondering how everything is going to come together! I say it over and over again that this adoption journey is soooo much more than us adopting two sons...it is about God doing something HUGE within us. He is using this journey to reveal Himself to us in ways that we have never experienced. He is so Amazing, so Wonderful, and so Worthy of all my Praise! Praise You, Jehovah-Jireh, for providing for Kimmie's every need this week!

Isn't is just so exciting to see how God gives back when we give what was His to begin with back to him.
I'm just thrilled for you.

I shouldn't be amazed or surprised because I've witnessed His hand provide on many occasions. But even still.... I'm AMAZED and in AWE. Thank you, Lord, for the generous provisions you make for adopting families and specifically - what you've done for Kimmie!

One of my dh's favorite sayings is, "You can't outgive God!" So true! He will bless you more than you could ever ask or imagine when you are faithful to Him. Thank you for sharing your story. I know it will be an encouragment to others.

Hi there,
I found you from Lovella´s blog. My name is Leana and my husband and I are missionaries in Argentina. We are in the midst of adopting two little girls, sisters, 3 and almost 5. We have been trying for eight years and suffered two miscarriages. These girls truly are a gift from God and it was truly a God thing how it all came about. It is all pretty new. The first one came in November and then her sister joined us in April. Your blog has been such a blessing to me and helped me along in this new, exciting journey. Thank you for sharing your journey. I hope you inspire many more.
Blessings, Leana

Thank you for the reminder. This is EXACTLY what I needed to hear at this time. We may get hit with a big bill this week or we may not. We have to believe that God is in it either way.

God has been moving in some mighty financial ways at our house too. Things that have never even been spoken of beyond my husband, myself and God are being resolved right and left. How blessed we are to serve a God that knows our hearts and needs, and makes provisions for us, sometimes even before we know what to ask for. To Him be all the glory!!!

Kimmie,
I loved your story about the money. We too are adopting a girl from Guatemala and will be sending in our dossier hopefully at the first of next week. (waiting for 4 more documents to come back certified from the state.) I have been praying for over a year, before we even started that God would either send us the money for the adoption or give us a way to make extra money. We have 3 biological daughters, ages 3, 5, and 7 and I homeschool the older two. Just last week, when we got our completed homestudy in the mail, God answered our prayer. Our social worker had originally quoted us $1100 for our homestudy. In the envelope was a note stating that she was only going to charge us $250. It never occured to me to pray for a discount. I thanked her telling her that she was answering a specific prayer that I had been praying. She answered back that God had spoken to her on this. Wow!! So awesome!! Well, wanted to share my story too and maybe we will meet up in Guatemala since we will be so close on the list. Karen P.

Thanks for sharing such an encouraging message. It's awesome when we can see and recognize God's work immediately. Your children are beautiful and it's so wonderful that you've kept the siblings together and they will be raised in a Godly home. Have you checked out Toni in the Midst's blog? She has four that she's adopted, three from the same family through the foster system. Her story sounds similar to yours in that they didn't plan it this way, but God had other ideas!

No matter how many people you trust, count on, need - isn't it nice to know that God is always there? He is the only Person you can truly count on for every need. Praise the Lord, honey. I'm so happy that He is revealing Himself to you and that you have the discernment to see it.
