Mud or Stars (subtitled) The Good news/bad news

Philippians 4:13

I am strong for all things in the One who constantly infuses strength in me.
(translation: Greek scholar Kenneth Wuest)

I waited all day, as if on eggs, for the PHONE CALL from our agency (All God's Children International). It didn't come. Well, it did, as we were told either Friday or Monday they'd get back to us with our waiting list number. They called my Knight at work, as he is the 'paperwork guy'. Julie said one of our documents was not notarized correctly (the notary scribbled out a number and rewrote it in), which the Ethiopian government wouldn't like, especially because it was from our accountant and about our finances.

That was the bad news, but the good news is that they found it on this side of the pond and it won't slow us down later! That is good.

Julie, our agency contact/support person, said that we will get a call on Wednesday AND that there are no other dossiers being reviewed until Friday. Meaning we won't get jumped over in the waiting line by this mishap.

Thanks for checking in, thanks for your prayers for our adoption (and our finances for the adoption). I am so glad you are my friends-sometimes this adoption journey is so lonely and long. Honestly I am very grateful for each of you!
Philippians 4:8
For the rest, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is worthy of reverence and is honorable and seemly, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely and lovable, whatever is kind and winsome and gracious, if there is any virtue and excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think on and weigh and take account of these things [fix your minds on them].

Praying for great news tomorrow! I am so glad for you that they caught the problem here. Our whole case got thrown out of PGN (Guatemala's "attorney general's" office) and caused a 5 month delay because of a smudge on a fax. This was after we had our referral, so instead of getting to bring her home at 7 months, she was 12 months.
I'm sorry I'm just now able to come by, but know that I have been praying about the financial end of it, too. If it's His will, you can rest assured that He will make a way. I love that praise song "God will make a way, when there seems to be no other way".
Stand on His promises.

Oh, I meant to comment about the dance. Those were great pictures. My 2 oldest took ballet for 15 years. This is Briana's last year, since she will be moving off to college next year. (sniff) They are both on our church's praise dance team, and, after all this time, I still LOVE to watch them dance.

Oh, Kimmie. Here I am waiting on pins and needles with you, and then... ugh. What a disappointment for you.

And yet...

When I think of a day, that's gray and lonely, I just stick up my chin, and grin, and saaaaaaayyyy....
The sun'll come out, TOMORROW (!).... Tomorrow, tomorrow...it's only a day away!

:)

There is a reason for every pause, every delay, every seeming gliche when God is in control. All we can do is pray, wait, and trust. He will bring greater blessings than we ever imagined.

Aw, I´m sorry this keeps getting dragged out for you. But maybe this means you´ll get a great number. :D Think positive!

Ahhh! How frustrating. It does make me wonder though... maybe this "mistake" will be to your benefit. Maybe it will somehow make your paperwork closer to the top of the pile? I don't know. I'm excited for you though. Can't wait to hear more info.
Blessings to you as you wait.

Hi Kimmie!
The waiting is so hard, but the end result is so wonderful! God's timing is perfect, sometimes it just seems slow to us. I'm praying with you!

Oh, Kimmie I am so excited for you. I can't imagine how agonizing the wait is for that phone call. I will pray for good news. I really do love the picture of the laundry and your post to go along. That was just so moving.

I am so glad they found that NOW! Great news...sorry you have to wait though. I am SO BAD at waiting. God is teaching me so much about waiting though. I just have to. Wait, that is. And keep leaning on Him.

Slow but steady...

Things are moving slowly, I know, but I encourage you to hang in there. God has specific babes for your family and maybe this time is about them being readied for your family.

You are in my prayers, Kimmie!

It is such a long perservering process. It is fortunate for you, that you have been through this a few times before, so you do know the great reward you will have in waiting!

I am glad though that they caught the mistake early on to save you some time!
