Adoption update

Well, no movement on our waiting list. Still # 30.

We were told by Julie our caseworker, that there are 44 kids at Hannah's Hope waiting for their paperwork and medical checks to be done. Once that happens, they can be referred to waiting families. So perhaps in the next few weeks we will begin to head down our agency's list.

I am trying hard not to grow weary, but this has been a long wait. A month of no movement is not what we are hoping for.

Prior to us switching to Ethiopian Program (from the Guatemalan Program)-the timeline was 3-6 months until referral. Now they are saying 6-8 months. The program director also just resigned (due to pregnancy). We really could use a good word.

Adoption, slow business sometimes, but so worth the wait.

I'm waiting here with you and continuing to pray for you that you would not grow weary of God's perfect timing and that He would reveal your little one soon.

Not to the waiting period yet, just starting on the paperwork. But I'll be there one day. hopefully sooner than later...

God's timing is perfect. I know you know this, but it's good to be reminded - can you remind me when I'm in your boat? :-)

This post reminds me of when I was pregnant and thought it had been too long since I had felt the baby move. Trying not to worry or panic, I would ask God for some movement...and I always got some, usuallly right away. Why don't we ask God for some movement for you now?

Oh, Kimmie, I was hoping for a change. Praying that you can feel that hug from the Lord reminding you His great works.

I wanted things to hurry during our adoption process, but I wouldn't have my guys if it had gone faster.

Praying for ya!

I don't know what more to say than what's already been said, but I will pray for that "movement".

Based on the listserve, it seems like referrals are picking up. I'm excited for the day when you post on this blog about your referral. I know you've had a long journey, may God continue to sustain you for the rest of it!

I'll add you to my prayer list. In the mean time, I'll keep my fingers crossed for you as well, it never hurts.

As you wait Kimmie, the Lord is molding your child,
Remember, the Lord is our driver and sometimes there are traffic jams, wrong turns and speed bumps...

Hi Kimmie,
The waiting of these months creates the conditions in your souls in order to you accept with bigger joy the new member in your family!
I pray for this!

In the meantime, while you wait, I hope that you have many happy and sweet Spring days with your already large and loving family. As far as I can tell, you and your family are truly blessed.
Take care and visit me again soon now that I am back at blogging more.
