Prayer Request Sunday-'Faded Jesus'

Hi friends

Hope that today is filled with a grateful heart and an expectation of God, more and more of Him in your life.
Do you love Him? I sure do. Are you spending time with Him? I am. Are you hearing from heaven? I am, but I always want to be a better listener. How about you?
This week as I was driving the path to and fro from my house, I saw something new. It obviously had been there a long time, but I never had my eyes open to it.
This time however, God showed me and then He spoke.
It was a little farmhouse on the hill, in the front most window of the homestead, nestled between the heavy drapes and the window facing the busy street was a picture of Jesus. It was facing outward, so the people approaching the house could see it. It was very faded and obviously had been sitting in the window for many, many years. I assume they put it there to ward off burglars. Letting them know that Jesus would see them. Maybe it was to let people know they were Believers, but I doubt that. We aren't Believers by having a Jesus picture, or by a cross around our neck.
'Window Jesus,' had become faded-nearly invisible.
Actually God said to me, "See the faded Jesus," and that is why I even noticed Him at all.
Is your Jesus faded? Have you only allowed Him into one area of your life? Have you placed Him and then left Him? Is He under lock and key or is He allowed freedom in your life?
Jesus is definitely not faded. He is living and vibrant, full of all of God's power and full of life. He desires to not sit in our window to scare away the bad guys, but He desires to reside on the throne of your heart and life. He wants to fill you with His ever present Holy Spirit and shine and flood over, out of His abundance in your life.
Jesus isn't Faded, it is not a name that belongs to Him.
Here are several of His names-He has well over 100 names-:
The Bread of God ( John 6:33)
Deliverer (Romans 11:26)
Chief Shepherd (1 Peter 5:4)
Faithful and True (Rev. 19:11)
Holy One (Acts 3:14)
Hope of Glory (Col.1:27)
Image of God (2 Cor. 4:4)
Lamb of God (John 1:29)
Living One (Rev. 1:18)
Lord of Glory (1 Cor. 2:8)
Power of God (1 Cor. 1:24)
Our Protection (2 Thes. 3:3)
Have you added Faded Jesus to your list of His names? Check yourself and see-are you limiting Him?
You see these people put him in the window, they had agenda on their minds. He is our Protector, but He doesn't need a 1950's headshot in your window to be that in your life, in your home, over your family or in any area of your life. He doesn't want to be faded and sun worn to you or those who pull in your driveway or pass-by your home. He shouldn't need dusting off, but some of us have tried to use Him 'to our advantage,' placing Him where we thinks He fits best in our lives.
We have not allowed Him full access-we have boxed God. He wants out in your life, He doesn't want to be your Faded Jesus. Look at your life, ask the Holy Spirit to search you, ask Him if you have a Faded Jesus on your list of His names.
See what He says, listen and get that Faded Jesus out of your life and invite the REAL Jesus in.
He wants the invite - do it today.
*****************
Can I pray for you?
God told me the other day that He is not only a God of the big things in our lives, but the God of the wee details, too. Let Him come with a fresh revelation of who He is and what He wants to do in and through you my friend.
Come Jesus, come.
