Prayer Request Sunday

Hi, How are you?

Hope you've come by today to fill me in on what's going on in your life and let me know if I can stand with you in prayer on anything that needs a touch of God in your life. I love to know you stopped in and I really think of you as my friends ...I love to get a minute to spend time with you and thank God for your friendship.
I am going to take a moment to answer a 'spiritual' kind of question that one of you asked, a week or so ago. You asked how it was that I 'heard' God and what you could do to be able to hear Him better in your life.
First off, I am only one of His many, many sheep. I do believe with all my heart that God speaks to us. I believe He desires for us to know His voice, so we can follow Him. Here's where is says so in His Word:
John 10:27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me...
I have heard God's voice for most of my life. I can remember Him talking to me when I was only a wee little lass...not even school age yet. I did need to learn to discern His voice, because our enemy (satan) also constantly tries speaks to us. Of course when we hear from him, we don't want to follow him, for what he speaks it is always lies and condemnation.
I think if you ask God to speak to you, if you are His child (have asked Jesus to forgive your sins and invited Him to be Lord and Saviour of your life)...that all you have to do is ask. Spend time in prayer with Him, put Him first in your life, take time to study His Word (the Bible), confess your sins (wrong doing in your life...hey, we all have it) and live obediently (with the help of the Holy Spirit). Of course, God will speak to whoever He desires, even if they aren't yet His...there is no formula...though I have given you what I feel is some general guidelines that I have found to be helpful.
Sometimes we just need to quiet ourselves, take time away from our busyness to seek His face. Get yourself a notebook and begin to write down the things you are asking Him. Listen for His voice, write down what He puts on your heart. (I have learned to date it, as sometimes it doesn't make sense at that moment...but I have seen it blossom and understanding come as I ponder His words to me.)
Take the time...don't give up, don't feel foolish, don't think He won't speak. Step out with whatever faith you have and believe that our wonderful God is going to show up, because I *KNOW* that He will.
Bless you...may His voice speak to you and may you come into a new level of hearing this week. I am praying for you...of course, if you ask me to believe with you for this, I can add your name to my prayers.

Good Morning Kimmie,
We're almost ready to submit our dossier. Please pray for finances to come in. We'll need $4,500 very soon.
The Lord has provided everything we've needed up to this point just in time, and we trust Him fully.
We would just love your prayer support!

Hi Kimmie,
We're really considering homeschooling Ellie (our school year starts in Jan). Zai would also LOVE to be homeschooled. Could you please pray for God's guidance in this matter.
I was wondering if you have time if you would be able to come to my blog - I have a list of questions there.

Hi Kimmie,

I just wanted to stop by to thank you for visiting my blog and now I am the one that received a blessing from visiting your blog!

This is such a beautiful ministry that you are involved in...praying for others that read your blog. God's blessings to you for thinking of others this way.

It was me, and thank you so much for these guidelines. It can be difficult to know what to do... like when someone says, "Just give your worries to God!" ~ I think it took me five years to figure out "exactly" what that meant.
Thank you so much, again. I will do what you have prayerfully suggested, and I'm so excited to hear Him! I even have a notebook ready and a time/plan that will flex as I hear.
Praying for you and your beautiful family here and in Ethiopia.

Bless you, and a million thanks!
