The Baptism of Princess Sunshine

Sharing a moment of great joy with you...Princess Sunshine (9) told us this summer, that she'd like to be baptised. We wait for our kids to come to us on their own. We had been praying for our Miss Sunshine for many years. She had so much fear, honestly I wasn't sure when she'd be ready.
The day of our annual church picnic, her Uncle David, who is also one of our 4 Pastors, baptised our sweet girl. I don't know if you heard them, but chains fell off her...stepping out and trusting God has brought her one step further along her path of faith. You can imagine, my Knight and I rejoiced and are rejoicing greatly.

No one should have to live under the shame of child abuse and neglect. Our God is a healing God, we just need to come to the point where we can put ourselves into His loving arms.

Princess Sunshine came out of that water a new girl-

How great is our God.

What a wonderful, sweet story! I'm sure you are rejoicing for Princess Sunshine. She is so blessed that God placed her in your loving family, and it sounds like you're just as blessed by her presence.

Reading this post brought tears to my eyes Kimmie...what an act of faith your daughter has taken. I can't even imagine how happy you all were that day!

We are also waiting for our children to come to us about their baptism when they are ready. I pray for them often about this.

This brings tears to my eyes - what a wonderful blessing she is. I love the wisdom you have to wait until your children come to you & ask to be baptised - I hope to do the same thing with my children. Praise God for His precious Princess Sunshine!

So beautiful. Baptisms make me cry more than any other life ceremony.

Any movement on a ticket for her?

Oh, shouting PRAISES from here. God bless her always...
How glowing she looks!
My son is 11 and we're still waiting. He is very shy in front of people and is uncomfortable getting his face wet. So, we continue to pray!
Rejoicing with you!
