A busy day, getting my heart right

Last night, we were at church and as we worshipped, God led me to open my bible. Lately He has been speaking to me through the Psalms. Sweet words of comfort and MERCY, while we wait for Him to open the doors for us to fly to Africa to get our baby, *Little Beauty.*

Last night He spoke Psalm 86:11 to me. I found the verse and He spoke that He wanted me to ponder it.

So I found a piece of paper that was left over from Sunday morning's church bulletin and I jotted down the verse and carefully ripped it out of the gray bulletin. I stuck the jagged piece into my hoodie pocket and slipped back into worship.

I will share what I jotted down...actually I borrowed my daughter's bible, as I liked her translation better than my NIV...hers is a NIRV...

Lord teach me how you want me to live

Then I will follow your truth

Give me a heart that doesn't want anything more than to worship

You.

I am going to slip it back into my pocket, Thursdays are a busy day here, but throughout the day I will slip my hand into my pocket and take out my little love note from God. I hope that my heart will fix itself to what my Father is asking me. Feel free to write it down and slip it into your pocket...I am sure He'd love that!

Mercy... that word is what I have been praying for in many areas of my life, and I'm beginning to hear Him. It's such a beautiful word.
When I pray for Little Beauty, I'm gonna call her "Mercy" and pray He fills your lives and hers with it!

I was just praying that prayer in the middle of the night nursing my wee one. Adoption has been on my heart for some time now but I feel like I need to get my heart right first. I love that verse.... thank you so much for sharing it. You are an inspiration to me. I came across your blog not too long ago. I started a casual blog just over a month ago. Praying for your adoption.

God's richest blessing,
