The Toothless Pirate Jacky

Morning friends!
The Pirate is still sleeping this morning, she had 4 wisdom teeth removed yesterday. The Dr. and nurse post surgery said they were difficult teeth to remove. Last night she used the heavy hitting pain medicine at bedtime, unfortunately being my *homemade* she inherited my inability to tolerate medicine. Her body did the opposite of what the label said, the poor sweet girl was wired all night and sleepless.
She was so brave yesterday...as I sat in the waiting room I kept remembering what she had said as we had our consultation last month with this oral surgeon. Actually he hadn't come in yet, but she commented that the reason they chose such busy wallpaper was that it must hide the spurting blood. She is so dramatic, what can I say. She kept insisting that a spot by the door was proof of her reasoning.
Pirates sure are touchy when it is their blood.
King Bonkie (5) was very curious when I brought her into the living room post surgery. They rushed her with their homemade get well cards and then he asked me how she was going to eat now that she had *no teeth.* See, there is always something to bring a laugh and a smile here.
Hopefully our only Pirate will feel the same today.

I hope she heals quickly! My 16 year old is due to have hers removed, as well. We see the oral surgeon this Thursday to have it scheduled. :o(

Getting your wisdom teeth out is a big event in a young person's life...I hope she'll be feeling back to normal real soon!

I can totally sympathize with her! I had all four of mine removed when I was in high school. One of mine was more severe. It HURT, to say the least! I swelled up so bad. My brother and sister made fun of me and called me a chipmunk. Hope she feels better soon!! Cold pudding was great for me!

You know, after my recent experience at the dentist . . . I don`t think she was exaggerating about the reason for busy wallpaper. ;)

Hope she feels better soon and gets lots of sleep to recover.

Hope your daughter soon feels better. Please tell her I am thinking of her.
My Jessica needs some teeth out soon so she can have a brace. They are deciding if she needs 2 or 4 out. We are hoping 2!

Hope she recovers quickly. I have the opposite effect on pain meds - even a basic panadiene forte knocks me out.

Briana just had that this July. No fun. Use ice packs on 20 min., off 30 min. That helped the swelling and pain a ton. I hope she feels better quickly.

Ouch! Poor thing. :-(

That is an adorable picture, the way the cat if comfily stretched out over her, and I love her kitty cat pajama bottoms. :-D
