Christmas crafts and more of Little Beauty

We bought our plane tickets last night!

Price $1600 (each) for my Knight and I...$300 (a lap seat) for sweet Little Beauty, our Ethiopian 8 month old daughter! I can not tell you how wonderful it is to KNOW, that this time we are REALLY going. After two attempts with our agency to adopt from Guatemala, then a switch to a new country after Guatemala closed to adoptions...the tickets are the reality my Knight and I so desperately needed. We are giddy with anticipation!

Thought I'd share a homeschool craft we did this month.

I had bought foam craft squares at a dollar store a year ago. I thought December would be the perfect time to pull them off the shelf and use them, as the colors of this package was Christmas green, true red and white.

The kids always love a craft, who doesn't love throwing glitter about with abandon? My glitter trick...well, I found large cheap containers of silver and gold glitter at Home Depot -guess painters use it as an additive to ceiling paint. Whatever...we use it for Christmas ornaments! These got cut out and adorn the old aluminum hand made Christmas tree...somehow the finished product didn't get snapped~ on the tree.
We paper punched a little hole, that we strung our ribbon to hang through. Eventually, I will locate the picture of the adornment...perhaps by Valentine's day?

Happy preparations for celebrating His coming.

Luke 2:11-14

“Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord. This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger." Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying, "Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to men on whom his favor rests.”

Kimmie,
I am so THRILLED for you that the call came, and it was wonderful news. I will be praying for the rest of the process, and that Jan. 11 will come quickly for you. I will also lift up your finances. I found it wonderful that the amount you raised on line was $20 more than the amount needed for your tickets. He will provide a way for the rest.
Very cute crafts!

Hi Kimmie
I am so excited for you. Your long wait is almost over.
I loved seeing your kid's wonderful craft creations. My daughter (12) is no longer into crafts but I have many happy memories of times we spent making crafts like those.
Merry Christmas
Lindsay
