Court Date Today in Ethiopia

my Knight who has been our prayer warrior

trying to set my mind at peace

sweet peace

wish this was me....

Today is Little Beauty's court date in Ethiopia. I'd like to tell you how peace filled I am, but I found myself unable to sleep last night. My Knight, who has been fasting for this week, told me last night that the Holy Spirit had told him to wake up at 3 am to begin to pray, as court's in Ethiopia opened. I asked him if God had really said to do that (I know, I can't believe I said it, but with fasting he is pretty tired already and I was worried about him)...I tried to remind him that we have been obedient and praying the whole way through this adoption.
I woke with him, as the alarm he had set went off. Though I didn't leave bed as he did, I never went back to sleep. I found myself in prayer until 7 am this morning, when I realized I had a pounding headache and began to question whether I was crazy or not. My focus was on the judge who would make the decision on whether we could go get our sweet baby or not. Truly, most of the time I am filled with God's indescribable peace, but honestly there must be some sense of worry within, as why otherwise would I NOT be able to sleep.
Thank you so much for joining us in prayer...as I look at my clock of Ethiopia on my sidebar, I am reminded that their day is soon over and the decision has been made. Just typing that has sent me into tears, 'fear not Kimmie, fear not.'
We are told that we won't know for about a week, that seems incredibly long at where I am currently sitting, but I am sure God will keep me busy.
The ibuprofen is beginning to kick in and the headache is dulling...thanks again so much. What a blessing each of your comments and emails have been. Wish you could come over and help me pass the time...want to go shopping for some baby things?

Kimmie...I will add His perfect peace to my list of prayers for you. I'll be thinking of you and praying for your family during this long week of waiting.

How awful that you have to wait so long to find out! I was up and praying for you and Little Beauty at 5 this morning (boys woke me), I hope it goes well and you`ll get great news nice and fast.

If I were closer I would TOTALLY go shopping with you. We could hit the thrift shops and then whip up some adorable little girly things. :D Never thought I`d say this, but I miss pink and ruffles!

Hi Kimmie
I have thought and prayed for you many times today and will continue to do so. I do hope you get the good news you need to hear very soon.
Thank you for your comment on my blog re the pebbles. I think it would be a great idea to do something similar with nativity figures. Please let me know how it goes if you do it.
A small church near here has nativity figures visiting children in different houses in the village for one night each in the weeks leading up to Christmas. I think that is a lovely idea too.
Best Wishes
Lindsay

Oh, I am praying, dear sister in the Lord! Remember, that He doesn't just sit in the back of that court room ~ He governs that court room! Our God is full of Mercy!

My mom and I prayed today.

Remember Who you have believed. Peace comes from looking at Jesus. When we look at the waves, we sink. I've been having to put that one into practice regarding my nephew in foster care. (As far as human governments go, things are NOT looking good. But the battle belongs to the Lord.)

I hope you find that peace during this week of waiting to hear. I will still pray.

A biiiiig hug for you!

Why do you have to wait so long to find out? What agency are you with? I pray that as you go through this time of waiting you will have a sense of peace. Good luck to you! My court date is December 17th and I'm counting the hours!

Tis the season of sleepless nights that turn prayer filled! Praying for God's peace to silently fill in all those places where fear wants to hide! {{{{{Kimmie}}}}}

I'm also tossing up a prayer that the time of waiting will be shorter!

Blessings,

What an awesome blessing to have a man by your side and your family's side who will be so consistently in prayer. And, add to that another generation of men who will follow that call. God is faithful.

Just popping in to say hello. Found you at basketflat's blog. I, too, was adopted and met my birthparents about 5 years ago.
Hope all went well today.

I am sorry I missed this prayer request. God is able, and will do what He has said He would do. I have a friend who just came through a very long and difficult adoption in Kenya, with many obstacles from an irrate judge. They had a last minute obstacle that could have cost them months, but the Lord heard the prayers, and the problem was waived.
I pray for peace to fill you to overflowing as you wait this week.
