9 days and counting...Ethiopian adoption

We are waiting on a gift.
It is a precious gift coming straight from our Father in heaven. It will be a gift that we get to open for the first time on Jan. 12th...it is one we will cherish and hold from that day into forever. We all are waiting with eager expectation, our arms our open and our hearts cry out for her to be wrapped in our embrace. She is one of us already, our prayers cover her until our lips can.

It hardly seems possible, though reality is that in 9 days my Knight and I will be boarding a plane heading to Ethiopia to adopt our 8 month old Ethiopian daughter.
Our God is good.

Amen! Our God is so good! I'll be praying for your travel and visit while you're in Ethiopia - and pray for the kids left at home waiting for your return.

P.S. Love the braids! Your practice is paying off. :-)

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Yay! So excited for you! It's been a long time coming but wow, it's finally here!

I know most of your kiddos have been 'grafted in' but that second from the last photo? His eyes look just like your Knight's!

Do you have time for an Ethiopian dinner in Hartford before you travel? It's on Farmington Ave. They open at 5 in the evening for supper however they are also open in the afternoons until 2pm, maybe a field trip for social studies is needed! I hear that there is a good one in New Haven also!

Thanks for your kind words on our site.
