Prayer Request Sunday

Welcome to Prayer Request Sunday!
Can I pray for you?
Leave me a comment letting me know how I can stand with you in prayer or send me a private email. I'd love to partner with you in believing God for an answer to your prayers.

I love this Blog! I look at it every few days, and it is such an encouragement to me. As I am starting my adoption journey I love hearing all the other "stories" of how the Lord caused all things to work together! I love your family's story. Thanks for your faithfulness in sharing it.

I have been following your blog for some time now and want to thank you for your encouragement. And for your inspirational life. It's not easy to live our Christian lives open for all to see. I thank God for your courage and for helping you to share your families story with so many of us. My husband and I went through infertility for five years before we were able to conceive our daughter. As she grew and we weren't able to get pregnant again we talked about adopting but didn't feel led to move in that direction just yet. When our daughter was seven we were able to get pregnant with our second daughter. But again another pregnancy hasn't come. This time we believe that God is leading us to foster-to-adopt. Anyone I have ever shared this with has instantly given me their negative comments about foster care. I am so thankful that God led me to your blog. Your story has given me the courage to walk into the unknown and trust Him completely for every situation that will come up. I have been a believer since I was a child but it has taken me going through some of these trials to really trust God with everything in my life. Not only are we trusting the Holy Spirit to bring children into our home but for the courage to parent them with love. And I know how incredible His love and grace are. Last week we had our first homestudy meeting and now have all the paper work to fill out. I am thankful that we have a peace and so far it hasn't been a stressful experience. Could you please pray that I will let go of every little piece of control and let God do with us what He will's. God led us to begin homeschooling our oldest daughter several years ago and I love it but I don't know if I will be able to homeschool a foster child that is placed with us. I really disliked dealing with the public school system, even though it was only through the middle of her second grade year so I want to allow God to led even in this area. He knows us and any child He would place with us better than we know ourselves but sometimes I forget and pick the things up that I really need to leave at the feet of Jesus.

I am sorry this is so long. Thank you for your willingness to take others cares and concerns before the throne of God. And thank you for being a friend.

Love in Christ, Melanie Ireland from Ohio

Hi Kimmie!

I'd like to ask for prayers as I give my letter of resignation this week at my current job and prepare to start a new one! I'm nervous about it all - but believe it will be great!

(I also wanted to let you know that I've been posting more of Zari's story over on my blog, just in case you hadn't stopped by recently!)

My dear friend, I had the privilege and the honor of being with my Gram when she went home to eternity tonight. God has simply been miraculous in this entire situation. From the miracle of getting us here, to the sweet time of singing and dancing with the Lord in my Gram’s room ushering her into His throne room.

Death is beautiful, there is NO sting, thank you Jesus!

Will you pray for the memorial service, my Gram asked me to share the gospel for her one more time as many of our family do not know the Lord.

Hugs from a tired but rejoicing warrior,
Sarah Dawn
