Relevance of my blog

Lately, I have been questioning the relevance of my blog. Is it something that is making a positive impact, something that is an encouragement, adding to someones faith or my own? Or is it idle foolishness? Just more busyness in an all ready flooded blogging world.

I have been asking God what He wants me to do. What He wants me to say here in black and white. There are so many words floating around everyday for us to grab at already. I don't like to waste time. I want my life to show fruit and my words on this blog to do the same.

Perhaps it is summer, the lull of all that God's beautiful world has to offer. A normal time of rest, perhaps I too need a refreshing of sorts in the heat of this season?

So, if my words are flat, I sorely apologize. I am heartily seeking God on what it is He wants me to share of my life. Feeling a bit lost at the moment, wondering what it all means.

I've run across many of my blogging friends who are taking a blogging break; taking time to regroup. I'm not feeling like that is where God is directing me, though right now it seems much safer than where I am currently standing.

Isn't it good how God always keeps us wanting more of his goodness and wanting to spread that joy to others?! I'm always amazed at how kind he is to work in me.
I'm continually encouraged and challenged when I make my daily (or thrice daily :)) visits to your blog among others. Keep up the good work and may more fruit be harvested by God's work through you!

Your blog dear one is breath of freshness for my day. I cannot count how many times the Holy Spirit has spoken to my heart through your words. Whether they seemed powerful to you or not, He continues to encourage me in my role as wife and mommy through you.

Your pictures, He chose them sometimes just for me. Struggling through the doubts of adoption via Ethiopia and Princess Mercy would bring a smile to my face and hope to my heart.

To be honest, your blog makes me ache at times too. How I would love to just come and sit with you, cultivate a friendship in His garden. We live in different countries, and I know that's impossible. I never have met anyone on the internet until I started this adventure in blogland a few months ago. It seems odd for me to even say it, but I consider you a friend.

A friend that I would dearly miss if not for my peeks into your life, your family, and even your soap making abilities. If the Lord leads you to take a break, then I will rejoice with you. But if He is asking you to go deeper, and share more of you, the gem that He is polishing and refining, then I rejoice with dancing!

Besitos (little kisses in Spanish),

Oh, Kimmie! You are not alone in this pondering as I think many of us are doing the same thing! Our time on this earth is so short and our heart's desire is to be faithful to what God has called us to. Is blogging part of that or not? I guess only we can answer that as the Holy Spirit leads us.

I do know my life has been blessed by you! If you keep blogging, I'll still stop by when I can. If you stop blogging, then I'll stop by via snail mail. I think you're stuck with me! LOL!

Blessings and hugs,

I think we all go through different "seasons" with God, & some of those are quiet, yet still powerful. While you may not have thought much of it, awhile back you offered to pray for anyone needing it. I needed it, you responded, & I was blessed by it. Sometimes, some of our most "powerful" words may never make it to paper or a blog, but they will be shared with the One who matters the most on behalf of those we've met along the way.

God uses your words to make a difference in my life. Not always just WHAT you say, but you being a God-seeker, a God-listener, a Jesus-follower makes me want to seek, listen and follow more too.
You will blog or not as God leads, I feel blessed to have heard your words.
with love,
