Homemade Christmas Craft Project...

As a girl, I remember making hand sewn felt ornaments with me mum.

...So it was only natural, to pack up our felt, needles, embroidery floss and stuffing and head to me mum's farm in the country, to make our ornaments!

My mum pulled out her buttons, as she said they would be great tree decorations. The kids loved this project and being able to dig through Grammie's feast of buttons.

Honestly, they worked tirelessly on their trees for most of the afternoon.
They begged to do more once we arrived home...so once we finish up our felt angels, I will be sure to get them posted.

What a special family activity to share!

Gracie and I are getting back to basics and making many of our Christmas gifts this year. It's been so fun to do this together again and I am wishing we had been doing it all along.

Love and Joy to you this Christmas season, Kimmie! (((Hug)))

Kimmie, what a wonderful idea! Of course, I tend to have too many wonderful ideas to fit into my time. But honestly, I have JARS of buttons that could be used. Hmmmm, I wonder if our little Wal-Mart carries green felt....

Blessings,
Tammy ~@~

Hi Kimmie
Your felt tree ornaments look great. Glad to hear they all enjoyed making them. Your family will treasure them forever i am sure.
I too love making felt ornaments, in fact I just finished making two felt gingerbread men. I used tiny miniature buttons to trim them.

WOW, you all are so crafty. Could you please give us some lessons? What a great idea regarding christmas. I can not wait to see your photos this year of your children hearing the christmas story.
Are you making any soap this year?

Hi Greta-Jo!

Always nice to hear from you!

Soap, no soap...I have been away from the barn for over a year now, in regards to soap. sigh.

Adoption stuff and a bigger family have taken precident of my soap making.

Perhaps once Princess Sweetness's paperwork is finished...I can sneak out to the barn for a few hours and dive back into my passion for creating soap.

Have a wonderful Christmas...hey, did your wedding come yet? Do you have a date?
