Almost Spring, Right?

Winter has its fun moments, especially when someone willingly plops you on a sled and carts you up and down the tiny slope in the yard.

Personally, I am ready for spring.  The huge storm we were supposed to get on Wednesday never came.  We just got a fresh inch or two of the white stuff, which is just enough to make foot prints in, then come in to sit in front of a roaring fire and sip hot cocoa.

Yup, I am ready for green grass, flowers and baby birds, and the outside firepit nights.

We have had a lot of cold rain this year. I'm ready for my yard to dry out. These puddles are starting to look like ponds!

I put up my spring decorations today. But I'll have to wait awhile till all the snow melts to see much spring around here. I did see some robins though.

So far so good in handling winter here....but come March I'll be singing the spring tune!

I'm totally envious of all the snow that has gone south and east of us this year. We have extreme drought in our area and were hoping for a heavy snow winter.

Blessings,

We don't have snow, but I can relate for the intense longing to feel the sun on my face. It's damp, chilly and wet, although still green. Green grass AND green mold, and you can't play with the mold!

It looks so beautiful there with the snow. We're watching the winter olympics here & have been talking about what it must be like to have snow (my kids are very upset that it doesn't happen here!)
Beautiful pictures...
