Adoption Update

Hey, it is Pirate Jacky!
Just wanted to give you a quick update on what has been going on with our adoption. Our parents are safe and sound in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia! They met her yesterday and are having a wonderful time. We were able to talk to them-including our new sister!- on the phone yesterday afternoon (oh my goodness, our new sister is SO sweet. She would say "Hi, how are you?" and we'd reply "Good! We love you, sweet Ethiopian sister!" and she would be so happy to hear our voices that she would go into a fit of giggles!)  We are doing well and cannot wait to have them home on Sunday!

Couple pictures taken by the director, Sue,when our parents first met our new sister.

For an update on what has been going on back at home, check out my blog!
 Thanks for all your prayers!

Pirate Jacky,

You are an amazing daughter! Your parents are so blessed! Thank you for sharing the update.

Seems as though I am going to have to keep a box of tissues handy while reading here going forward. This is just too emotional--in a good way!

Thank you for posting the pictures and giving us an update. I cried when I saw the pictures. I can only imagine how good it much feel for Simenesh to be adopted by a family who loved her before they even knew her.

I also am thinking about that joy that we have through salvation in Jesus Christ and being adopted into the family of God. He will welcome us into Heaven with that same love, that same embrace. Then, we will feel what Simenesh is feeling right now!

Praise the Lord!

Kimmie, You were the first blog I ever read and you truly have encouraged me to step out and share my story. Thank you.

I wanted to thank you for being a part of my first year of blogging! What a wonderful year it has been. I'm throwing a little party and as an honored guest, I would love for you to stop by and share a highlight of your year with all of us.
