Our Baby is Waiting!

We can't even believe this is our daughter.  Honestly, in all the videos and pictures we were sent, she didn't look like this smiling lovely young lady.  God is working healing in her! How wonderful is that my friends!

Our sweet agency director, Sue Hedberg (Celebrate Children International), was on one of her many many trips to Ethiopia. She took some of the kids at the Transition house out to dinner. The children have come from all over Ethiopia, to the Transition House, which is in the capitol city of Addis Abba.  They are all moved here to get ready for the last leg in their adoption process, waiting for their new families to come!

I am thinking this *restaurant* was probably the first time for most of them.  What a kind thing for them to do for these children.  We really have enjoyed using Sue and her agency.  (Honestly, I am hoping God will send us back!)

I can see Sue tried to make it special for them.  I can tell by the look and smile on my precious daughter's face that she is having a wonderful time.

In 3 weeks we will be in Ethiopia...!  And she will be in our arms, forever.

Have I said that I love adoption? We are so madly in love with her-God is really amazing!

It's obvious that God began healing her little heart the moment she found out a family had claimed her! What a smile :-D

I started reading just before you brought your last blessing home from Ethiopia. I've been praying for your family and Simenesh since you first introduced us to her. She is so beautiful and so blessed that God brought you into her life.

I met Sue when we were dealing with a nasty man trying to get our twins from the airport. She really helped me out even though I adopted independently and she didn't have to. She stayed with us and stayed up all night even though she was headed to Ethiopia the next day (Jan 26 or 27).

I sooooo love following your blog, and reading your honest heart, and what the Lord is doing in you. :) It inspires me and encourages me in the adoption process...to trust Jesus, and to step out. Your daughter is absolutely beautiful and I just can't imagine all her emotions as she waits for you.
