Braiding, Adoption and Strange Bonding Rituals

Bonding is so important in a family.

It is essential for an adoption.

Bonding is a sticking of hearts.

A joining of spirits.

An uniting of body, mind, soul and spirit and it is something that takes time.

Of course with God all things are possible.

Nothing is impossible with His help...ask my two sons who willingly let their new Ethiopian sister *do* their hair.

Laughter.Love.Letting Go...learning to trust one another....

Come join in our braiding party!

Braiding is just another way to say~ I.LOVE.YOU!

Usually, I am not a big fan of braids, but the brunette pony-tail of braids is super cute!

How fun...my daughter just came home from attending an AA friend's family reunion over the weekend, & her very curly hair was in rows of braids! You could just see the love that went into that!! She is not one for doing her hair, but absolutely loved this experience.

Absolutely beautiful! All of you! I want to see an after of YOUR hair.

Didn't her fingers get tired? Who does her hair?

Blessings,

Janet

Siminesh certainly likes to braid hair, she's very good at it I see. Some of my best memories as a kid are getting my hair braided by my older cousins, it is a fun bonding experience. :D

Kimmie, I just got this month's issue of Christianity Today in the mail. The cover story is: Adoption! And the church's responsibility to adopt, the universality of the call to orphan care, etc. Pick it up, you'll be encouraged!!!

That is so funny! I braided Ellie's hair this morning & Jud asked me to do his - of course his was much too short!
I love braiding - it used to be my favourite style to have when I was a girl!
Have a lovely evening - enjoy your precious family
Renata:)

Oh, that looks like fun! Siminesh had to have had tired fingers by the time she finished all those braids! Love that the boys did it, too. :D
