Changes...

Today is the first day of fall...

which of course has its own beauty here in New England.

Coming soon are; beautifully colored trees, pumpkins galore, fresh picked apples, piles of leaves to jump in, warm cosy sweaters to bundle up in, cooler days and extra blankets to keep from having to resort to turning on the heat....

I am so not ready...!

What about you?

I love fall! The cold room is full, as is the freezer. The garden gave a small abundance and only a few brave squash remain. School is happily underway. I've taken heaps of pictures of gold and red and yellow and green. The fire was lit last Sunday and we are toasty.

Bring it on!!

I think that is very good advice Kimmie. It makes good sense to put on more clothes than put on the heating or turning it up. Of course it's nice to have some warmth indoors but at this time of year its no hardship to get by with a few extra clothes and a rug over your legs.

Well, it's Spring here! And it has been beautiful weather. :) Getting a little warmer in the day but still cool enough for flannel pj's and quilts at night. xx

Ahhh, the autumn winds bring great changes, don't they? Many thoughts on my heart this morning as I glance through your recent posts. My laptop crashed a few weeks ago and I no longer have your email address since I'm now forced to do email on the web. Could you drop me a quick note so I can send you an email? I'm missin' you! :-)

Blessings,

I'm jealous just thinking about the fall in New England. I could do for some cool weather, beautiful foliage and lots of apples.

Hmm... seeing that here in the Sunshine State temps are still in the 90s every afternoon, I am SO ready for fall! :) Send some cool weather this way!

I LOVE the weather change. It's been pleasant in Ohio -- minus the tornados! HA! I am looking forward to leaf piles and the smell of dry leaves on the ground... and how they CRUNCH when you walk on them!

Extra clothes for us, too! I try to avoid turning on the heat as long as possible!

I love fall! I really miss it, too. Yesterday, we were out doing shopping and I saw a tree that was starting to die and it had yellowed leaves and I thought, "It's been nearly a decade since I saw leaves change color." Enjoy it! :)
