A Little of Me

Lately I think I've been a little quiet.
God has stirred my heart and had me pretty busy with activity.

He put on my heart at the start of the New Year to begin to study Hebrew.  I am not really sure why, but as I finished up my chronological Bible reading for the year, He opened the door to reading the Complete Jewish Bible (which my Knight downloaded onto my shiny new Kindle Fire, which my Knight purchased to help me in my studies!!)  I have always had a love for Messianic Jewish studies and I guess God was just relighting the passions He has placed within me.

I have been slowly learning the Hebrew alphabet, as the Complete Jewish Bible is actually in English, with bits of Hebrew dispersed among its words.  I am only have a few consonants memorized so far, but I am in love with the process.

I am beginning to be able to read in Hebrew!

This morning I finished up the book of Leviticus, which is called:
Vayikra: {which means He called}

My heart swooned with love as I finished out the chapter with these words of life:

Hasak, Hasak, v'nit' chazek!
Be strong, be strong and let us be strengthened!

Beautiful, eh?

Then as I chewed on this, I came to this...
in Numbers (B'midbar: In the desert: which is where I am feeling these days...)

Y'varekh'kha ADONAI v'yishmerekh
[May ADONAI bless and keep you.]

Ya'er ADONAI panav eleikha vichunekka
[May ADONAI make his face shine on you and show you his favor!]

Yissa ADONAI panav eleikha v'yassem l'kha shalom!
[May ADONAI lift up his face toward you and give you peace.]

May this bless you as much as it has my heart this morning.  Our God is amazing and is worthy of our Praise, Worship and Trust: regardless of what is occurring in our lives.  Be blessed and press into His heart for you!

more to follow...

Amazing! (That you take the time to study Hebrew!) And how encouraging (the verses). Never thought about what "Leviticus" meant...
