Sundown Saturday

Busy,
I think it might have been the word of the day today.

We got up and went at it:

 garden salvaging.

rototilling.

hedge trimming.

getting rid of some cut brush and yard waste.

drawer and closet purging.

cleaning my bedroom.

chucking things from the medicine cabinet.

cleaning under two sinks.

barn organizing.

car repair.

setting up a sewing workshop in the lovely little barn.

making a pile of goodies to give away.

driving the goodies away!

shopping with 2 teenage daughter and one married daughter for
their sister who will be turning 18 next week.

plopping down to check emails
and found a sweet note from a new friend,
who said my post on being a barren woman was helpful to her.

praising God,
because I didn't want to post it.
  painful.
 lived it too long.
but felt pushed, so did it.
but reposted a few hours later, to stuff the post down out of my eyesight.
God used it anyway, as someone read it and sent it to their hurting friend.
 isn't He good!

one more trip to the recycle bin and then I am DONE!

Wow! What a busy Saturday. Congrats on getting so much done.
The paint looks good. Adding more cornstarch to my grocery list so we can try this. Thanks for the idea.
Oh, does food coloring stain clothes? I know my kids would *really* get into their creations.

You mentioned tilling your garden... have you ever seen the free movie at www.backtoedenfilm.com? It is a beautiful garden video made by a master gardener with the most amazing, biblically based approach to gardening. I'm hoping to do this kind in my next garden when we move. It's no-till, no fertilize, no weeds, and makes so much sense. Why didn't I think of this years ago?
I hope you enjoy the film and get a lot of good ideas. It's free to watch.
Hugs,
Kate

We didn't have any trouble with the paint on clothes...perhaps send them out in play stuff to be safe!

What a wonderful day! Can imagine the satisfaction you must have had when day was done and you surveyed all accomplished. ♥

Sometimes when we share our pain, someone else is encouraged that they aren't alone.
