Homeschool Copywork with Illustrations

Assignment for today:

Copy poem by John Keble and then illustrate how you *see* the poem.

All Things Beautiful

All things bright and beautiful,
All creatures great and small,
All things wise and wonderful-
The Lord God made them all.

Each little flower that opens,
Each little bird that sings-
He made their glowing colors,
He made their tiny wings.

The purple-headed mountain,
The river running by
The morning and the sunset,
That lighteth up the sky;

The tall trees in the greenwood,
The pleasant summer sun,
The ripe fruits in the garden-
He made them every one.

He gave us eyes to see them,
And lips, that we might tell
How great is God Almighty,
Who doeth all things well.

I love this poem....once I came across a book called All Things Bright and Beautiful....the title was familiar (I suppose from hearing the poem at some point) and so I bought it...I ended up reading the entire book series last year which was so, so wonderful.
