Passionate Love...the Waiting Game

A little pop-in to share about my wonderful handsome Knight...

through thick and thin he stands beside me,
he encourages me,
he believes in me
and he trusts me.

God made us for each other and I am so very thankful.

My wisdom for you girls who are waiting on
 your beloved, is this...

God has one for you, you don't need to do try-outs to find him...God will bring him when the timing is right.  Just live daily close to Him and He will certainly guide your steps to each other.

*be idle while you wait...
Get busy serving.  Find ways to be a blessing to those around you.  Go out of your way to leave your *mark* of kind deeds daily.

*don't fall into the ways of this world.
Keep your eyes on Him and live a simple life.  It requires wisdom (which God gives to those who ask) and discernment, as to what you should or should not be doing at this season of life.

*pursue God for His blessings only.
Pursue Him because you love Him and want to know Him better

*hang out with those who live like they don't love Jesus.
Bad apples when left with good apples= bad apples

*live without expectation
Expect God to be moving in all the areas of your life.

*forget that you are being watched
Life is like a fishbowl when you are a Christian, others are watching to see what makes you different.  Seeing how you live that is different than those who don't profess a relationship with God.  This means be aware, not put on your best religious act.  Be an influence, not another Christian who gives Jesus a bad name.

*just put on anything
Fashion doesn't always hit the modesty mark.  If you are wearing clothes that reveal parts that are meant for only you, your future husband or your doctor to see~ time to get some new more modest clothing.

*Check behind you...look to see if when you bend over if parts that should remain covered are showing... do a bend test before you buy your jeans, shorts, skirts, tank tops ....

If you are choosing bikini's for your swimwear, well, again I would ask you why?  Bikinis came on the market as a way of airing sexiness.  Even the original models who were approached to model them refused.  The first to model them was a stripper, who didn't have a problem with how revealing the bikini was.  When men look at a woman in a bikini, it leads them to think of them as an object, not a person.  Something to be acted upon, not something to be valued (they have done scientific testing on the males brainwaves and areas that are triggered when they see women wearing bikinis).  Honor God with your body and what you choose to put on it.
You have great value and worth...live like it!

*think it doesn't matter and that everyone you know does it, wears it, watches it, says it, reads it...
You will stand alone before God someday.  What everyone else did won't matter.  Enough said.
Those who honor God, God honors.  Put yourself on His honor roll...you'll be so glad you did!

*think you are too young, too uneducated or too inexperienced to make a difference in this world.
God has given you gifts and talents that only you have.  He wants you to figure out what they are and begin plugging them in.  How do you do this?  Trial and error, praying, asking others around you what they think your gifts might be, taking a giftings test (many available for free online).

This is the time when you are single to figure them out, plug them in and build up those around you (bonus- your faith will grow and you will feel great as God uses you!)

Hope these tips helped you run the race to your true love.  God meant marriage to be done once and done until death do you part...let Him guide you and you will truly know His Goodness and His joy.

Always beyond a blessing to read all God has for me wrapped up in your words. My hubby, my forever love, also the only love of my life. Teaching our children the joy of walking in the same.

I would be honored Kimmie to have you share this post with other moms. I started a little spot to encourage mommas. Momma notes.

Just moms. Sharing our notes. Creating a melody.

Be blessed bunches,

It is so true, but so hard to wait patiently when you are young and so desiring a man... I agree 100% that young girls (all females) are of great value and need to treat themselves (and dress) like they want an honourable man to treat them!! I pray for the youth of this generation!! my heart breaks for them, modesty is not promoted much instead giving themselves is ok'd. God loves them I want them to know! :) Great post!!

Kimmie ...

How you crazy bless so many ... thanks bunches for splashing around with us at momma notes. Lacing up for the race ... hope you'll join us in cheering other moms on.

You have always been such an encouragement to me. Started reading when we were missionaries in Costa Rica. And now, as foster momma (soon to be 6 kids) all that you have taught, mentored, and guided through this blog, has been such a life line.
