We made the list!
Psalm 115:14-15
Oh, let God enlarge your families-giving
growth to you,
growth to your children.
May you be blessed by God,
by God who made heaven and earth.
(trumpet sounds, a drum roll please...)
We are most pleased to announce that we have submitted all of our dossier (paperwork for an international adoption)-it has been reviewed by our agency and we have received our number for the girls waiting list. We won't be giving you the play by play, as it just might bore you to death-and really I value all of you as friends. However, as this is really the beginning stage (in my mind) of getting our little one(s) home, my heart is leaping within me with joy. So just so you 'know' ~ we are
#26
We will continue to 'reduce' until we get chosen by a birthmom in Guatemala-we are told anytime around #15 we need to be ready to make our first trip down to Guatemala. We are waiting for an infant girl, but open to a sibling group and also a deaf child. We have no idea what God has planned, but know that He is more than faithful to work out every detail that will come.
*****Of course we covet your prayers and your friendship while we wait, I encourage you who have been silent friends, to come out and introduce yourself, as truly it will help make my waiting time go faster, if I am not sitting here twiddling my thumbs thinking about it. (ha-can you truly imagine, a mother of 6 twiddling her thumbs with nothing to do...lol, rolling truly on the floor!)
We will get weekly updates from our agency (all God's children international)-in regards to movement on the list. Last year we got to #1 and were offered infant boyS (non-related, just born). However, our 3 wee ones needed us immediately, so those baby boys found a different family(s) and we have waited until now, to get back on the list (we were put in the middle of the list, though I had hoped for the under "10" denomination, as we had waited 9 month on the list last time around.) We had to repay for EVERYTHING ( can you say ouch!) and again fill out all the zillions of necessary documents.
I think, 'One Who Waits' must be my middle name. (those who know me, close enough to pinch me, know how I love those Native American sounding names. ) After all, so you can all know, my dear Papa wanted to name me, Running Water and a few other highly interesting names. But I am seriously pondering a name that starts with a "B" and reminds me of the picture perfect joy~filled day. (two words, but perhaps could be written as one, think of a cloudless sky.) My family still thinks I'm crazy and some of my dear friends (Susan and Michael) nearly wet their pants in laughter, when I told them my favorite name, while we were vacationing together. I wasn't laughing by the way. (well, may be a little-when they said, "Kimmie and Hippie" in the same sentence.)
Ultimately it is all up to Him...wanna keep me company?

Oh, how exciting! Definitely praying for you! I personally really like the name, Skye (no adjective). Not so odd but for sure, towards the hippie side. :)
This is exciting news! You will be in my prayers and I look forward to sharing in this journey with you! I cant wait to see your girls!
Waiting with you! How exciting...
I'm so very excited for you! Thanks for including us in your joy and in your journey.
I'm so happy to hear this news, Kimmie. May the Lord give you supernatural patience and grace as you wait on Him to work His will!
I´m so happy for you! There might be a reason you aren´t #10, there might be a very special baby girl waiting for number 26, so I wouldn´t worry too much about it. :D
You are definitely not alone in your wait! Keep us all posted please.
Oh my goodness I'm so excited for you!! I am looking forward to following this next phase of your journey.

How thrilling! I hope you keep us updated on at least the number you are.
I pray God will bless this child and many more.
PRAISE THE LORD!!!! I am so happy that you made it through the paper chase yet again. Wow...that is tough to have to do it all over again...not to mention all of the extra money.
Btw, you won't be boring us one bit if you keep us up to date on your news. We will be right here alongside you waiting for any new tidbit of news about your precious babes waiting for you!
That is so cool! Congratulations! Can't wait to hear further updates.
Wonderful news! Hoping and praying for you as you wait.
Just wish I could be in your shoes.

Karen

Hi Kimmie. I've heard it said that all good things come to those who wait, so I hope this is true of your situation. Bob.
Thanks for visiting our bake sale booth at Old Settlers. We appreciate the help that we received from the community. Are you from the Delphi area? You can email me at: solas4me@gmail.com

After having four "homemade" children we are considering adoption to add to our family. I look forward to following your journey as it progresses, and we will be praying for you and yours along the way.
very excited for you - I like that name... I prefer the hippie type names... :)
Thanks for stopping by my place... I'll be glad to keep you company as you wait. (not like you are bored waiting with all your other children! :) )
WOO HOO! #26 is a GREAT number!!! :) I even remember being that number!
As for "One Who Waits", that is so funny, because I just told Mark the other day, "I seriously think the theme of my life is WAITING for a child." I know you know oh-so-well. :)
Love you, friend!
~Stacy

What wonderful news! You will be there before you know it! Thanks for allowing us to join you on this journey!
Many Blessings
This is my first visit to your site, but I just had to comment. :) My brother and his wife adopted a sibling group (2 brothers and a sister) through AGCI from Guatemala. Though at times frustrating (what adoption isn't???), it was an incredibly rewarding experience, and they absolutely can't say enough good stuff about AGCI. So I'm thrilled for you!
I'll be back to visit again... :)
