Tea for two and two for tea...

Two snaps from home- my oldest two helped me to wear the "right" outfit (my first choice was to groovy, they said.)
Nothing like showing up for afternoon tea in a 60's throw back outfit. I guess velvet was more in their minds "acceptable."

Diane, my friend and my mum-in-law. A lady full of godly wisdom!

Pictures from some of the shops near the tea shop.

My very sweet mum in law....who blessed me so much yesterday.

A picture from 'my serene pleasure,' (one of my favorite walking areas)which I passed on my way to home from my BIG day out. I could just feel God smiling on me all the way home...can you feel Him?

Kimmie, you are so pretty. I love the shot of you in the tea shop. You need to frame it.

Hi Kimmie :) I am so glad that you had a lovely day! There is just nothing like sitting down over tea with a lady who is precious to you (whether she is 2 or 92 or somewhere in between). Love to you! Q

Yes...you are Blessed. My MIL and I are not close and never have been...it's too bad. That's OK because through her God is teaching me how to be a wonderful mother in law someday.

Blessings,
Robin

You look so lovely - I adore your hoop earrings! And to have such a sweer MIL. I love my MIL and know what a rare thing it is to get along so well. It seems you, too, count your blessings.

Kimmie - I love that you posted pictures that I can actually see your face. You're beautiful! But of course I already knew that from your heart.

Looks like you had a great time with your MIL. What a beautiful relationship you have.

Love,
Julie

It was so refreshing to read this post. You are truly blessed to have this kind of relationship with your MIL. I, like Robin, am learning from my MIL how to be one in the future. Our relationship is not a close one. I pray often for my future DIL. My son is only 18 months, so we have many years of prayers ahead of us.

Blessings,

This is great! You do look lovely and I think it is hilarious that your kids rejected your other outfit on the basis that it was too "groovy"!

What a blessing to have such a woman for a mother-in-law! I have a sweetie for a mom in law too, but she lives far away. We are doing a bible study together over the phone every other week, so that has been a nice source of encouragement.

Oh Kimmie, I love this post. I just think it is wonderful that you had such a great day with your "Mother by love".

I felt as though I might have stumbled on the two of you (in my imagination) and chatted it up a bit while being shown my own table.

How fun.

Oh I just love tea time!! My mom and I have a favorite tea room.

I just found out I am pregnant. Praise the Lord. So I have a little more time to learn about the adoption thing but we (my husband and I) are still so interested.

What a beautiful time with your mother in law.

What would we do without our children? My five year old is my fashion consultant...and very opinionated when it comes to helping me choose outfits. I don't know how I ever did it without her :-)

Blessings!
Michelle
