Answers to Ask Away, part one

Thanks to those of you who took the time to ask me a few questions, I so appreciate the distraction from my adoption blues.

I will try to keep my answers short and sweet, as nothing like me going on and on about myself.

Question one by javamamma-when do I rise and set ;-) kids?...

Well, no set time-(sorry) some days it is early (like 6 am)...some days (like a Saturday) 9 am. I usually go to bed by 11 pm. Though sometimes I fall asleep on the couch earlier.
my 4 little ones go to bed around 7 pm (ages 4,5,6,8) my 13- around 8 and my 16 year old around 9 on school nights. The 16 year old stays up later on the weekend, non school nights. The others are pretty set with their schedule.
I'll add that they all still nap if we have an evening outing. ;-) big smile!

Question 2 by Emily- $100 to spend on just me?...
Well, I'd probably RUN to the thrift shop and maybe see if my friend Hallie wanted to come too! A hundred dollars could buy lots of fun at the thrift store!

Question 3 by Cindy-
what makes me laugh hard?

Our Tobin keeps us laughing, seriously he thinks he is a human baby. (isn't God wonderful! and yes, I am still feeding him with a dropper and kitty milk-he does eat dry food too! 15 weeks old now.)

and My favorite sandwich?

...a cheese ploughman's sandwich-something I eat while in London and recreate here at home-you need a jar of Branston's pickles (a little like chutney). The British are so sandwich serious they have a website, I kid you not. I had a battle finding a picture of my favorite, but here is a recipe (its the only one I could find...and I have never had it on white bread!). The British Sandwich Association- now I know who I have to kiss for all those yummy sandwiches I scarf down while in my home away from home. Honestly, I am going to pray the British Sandwich Association into my state...thanks Cindy! (they actually have a sandwich week there...May 13th -the 19th...gotto love those Brits!)

Question 4-by Miss Sniz How did you meet your husband?

My Knight went to my first church, I secured him by becoming his mum's Saturday house girl. Yup, I almost died from breathing in bathroom cleaners in an enclosed space for 5 hours...but I got myself a husband ;-) (that was only one Saturday...I did it for 2 years for his mum, she is my cleaning mentor!)

Question 5-by Lovella
engagement story?

I was asked by my Knight to marry him at my college graduation dinner dance...we were on the dance floor and he had spoken to the disc-jockey ahead of time...he slipped the ring on my finger without me knowing (my arms were wrapped around the back of his neck)...he asked me, I said ,'YES' and he brought my hands in between us to show me my engagement ring ( I am so clueless!)-the whole floor cleared (maybe 50 dancing couples?) and the whole graduating celebrants (200?) cheered for us, -circling us as they played a song for us to dance alone to, romantic...yup! (blushing)

I will get to the rest of the questions later in the week...so come on back my sweet friends. Again, thanks so much, you are the BEST!

You got asked some great questions! Loved reading your answers. Thanks for answering mine. I guess I'm a scheduling/planning freak so I'm always interested in others' schedules. Your little ones go to bed at SEVEN!?!?! Wow. Mine would be up at 4 if they were down by then. :)

Those were awesome answers. I'm so glad to learn more about you and your family. I can't wait to hear the rest of the answers...read, I mean.

I was having computer issues and I wasn't able to visit on Sunday. Please continue to pray for the things we've talked about and know that you are still in mine as well.

Love,
Julie

I am love reading all your answers to these questions...so many things I don't know about you yet! I love the story about how you and your "knight" met. You're readers would think it even more romantic if they could see how perfectly the two of you are matched! Truly a match made by God.

Glad I stole some time to sit and read through your blog today. I have been missing so much!
