The girl is mad about knitting

My girl with mad knitting skills and she drives a mean A.T.V. too.

Her very happy siblings, with their new scarves.

Well, my oldest, Pirate Jacky (16), has gone over the edge.
She took up knitting in October, started by proclaiming a knitting contest with her 2 sisters (who can knit a little). They decided after a few weeks that knitting is not their thing, so they stepped away from the contest. However, my Pirate is a driven girl and wound up knitting 9 scarves. The 9 scarves were all finished by Christmas (yes, that means the first was started in October...the last finished before Christmas.) Yikes! Each was given as a gift and honestly they were beautiful. I am amazed, because I am still working on the same pair of leg warmers that I started in October...obviously she didn't get the "driven" gene from me.
She now has taken up circular knitting needles and has made 3 hats for her younger siblings. I have never even used circular needles- hope she can teach me. I am hoping she takes to making socks, as I so need a mentor...perhaps my mentor is right under my own nose. Wouldn't that be wonderful!

I don't even know what circular needles ARE! That's awesome that she's 16 and already so productive!

Well, she may not have gotten your "driven" genes, but she did get your beauty genes.
You and your girl are BEAUTIFUL, Kimmie. I mean, really- lovely.

She is a knitting machine AND completely gorgeous. I've got some knitters at my house too, and I'm always amazed at what they produce (I've never gotten the hang of it).

I love those scarves, particularly the one Princess Sunshine is wearing! Knitting is something I´ve never gotten the hang of, I´m impressed at Jackie´s dedication. :D

Wow! Amazing! So is there hope that I could still learn something like that? The scarves are beautiful. I think Princess Giggles has my favorite one. :)

What a girl! Such a blessing to all around her! I just know I would *adore* knitting... I simply need a human teacher. Books are no help. :)
