My Giveaway...:-)
God put it on my heart to have a giveaway! He even directed my steps in what to give (how cool is that?) I will have the official drawing and winner announcement on Jan. 31st . So if you'd like to be included, just leave a comment at this post and a link back to you ~either to your blog or an email where I can find you if you win-you can use my email if you don't want your email posted in comments. kimmie28@gmail.com
I will be giving away a notebook (Day by Day 2008)...so as you hear God, you can write down what He says to you. I hope you will be able to look back over the year and ponder His words to you. I sewed a bag to hold your notebook-it has a little back pocket for a pen (and perhaps some tissue!) and I left a little room in case you have a bible that you'd like to slip in too? I prayed over it as I sewed the bag, asking God to give you spiritual ears to hear His voice and that it would greatly bless you as you wait to hear from Him.
I will be writing along with you...as He had me buy one too! So as I take mine out (I will carry mine in my purse)- I will remember to continue to lift you up as you wait expectantly on Him. If He says anything to you before it arrives...please jot it down and add it in once it arrives! I am anticipating lots of listening to His voice this year and I am asking the same for YOU!
Jeremiah 33:3
Call to Me, and I will answer you, and I will tell you great and mighty things, which you do not know.
Habakkuk 2:1
I will stand on my guard post And station myself on the rampart; And I will keep watch to see what He will speak to me.
Deuteronomy 5:31
As for you, stand here by Me, that I may speak to you.

OOOOOOOOHHH, I just love you Kimmie!
What a great giveaway Kimmie...count me in!!
Blessings,
Robin
I already have a prayer journal, but it would bless me so to know that a new one, and it's bag, came from the hands of my dear friend and sister.
I just read what I wrote, and it sounds VERY kissy-uppy - BUT IT'S NOT!!! I really do mean it! :)
I appreciate all the prayers you have made for me and my family.
Kimmie, I'm not sure if I've ever commented before but I love your blog. You are an inspiration to people everywhere, Christian and non-Christian. Your Pray Request Sundays are so warm and open-hearted and I commend you for following God's advice. Good luck with your beautiful family and thanks for adding my name to the hat for the drawing of that awesome prayer journal.
Count me in a hundred times.
Hi Kimmie!
What a great giveaway! I'd love to be included in the drawing! Also, can I leave another prayer request even though it's not Sunday? Our daughter and son-in-love will be traveling tomorrow for an interview for the position I had asked you to pray for on Sunday, would you please pray for their safe travel and for God's leading?
Thank you so much!
Velvia
Hi Kimmie: I've been stopping by for a few weeks, and had not taken the time to leave a comment. But, now I must! the notebook is nice but the bag is so cute. Count me in for the drawing.
(Was that too obvious? nah!)
I would love to be included in this drawing. I also wanted to let you know that an answer to prayer is on the horizon. Back on the 16th of Dec. my prayer request was for some focused quiet time with my Father. I am a SAHM to a toddler boy, but take him to a sitter on Fridays. He gets to play with other kids and I get to do adult things. Usually, I help prepare the supplies for the children's ministry on that day. Just received an email that I will not be needed for two weeks!! Here's my opportunity to sit on my Daddy's lap all day long. My new request is that God would protect those two days. I want to get out of the house away from my "to do" list, but alas it is winter so I am hoping for an indoor location. Only God could prepare such a place for me. Sorry this is so long and thank you for your faithfulness in praying for us all!!
Trusting and praying,
Julie S.

Kimmie,
I'd love to be included in your drawing.
I just have to share...the Hebrews verse on the page of the journal you show, is the verse God gave me when we were expecting our third son. I was told I was having a miscarriage and to go home and catch "it" in a bucket they provided me. I started praying. God gave me that verse, and for six more months I quoted it over and over. I had faith that God was bigger than the doctors who gave us no hope. And sure enough, I never had to use that bucket. It now sits in my clothes closet as a reminder of how God answers prayer.
Blessings
How sweet you are to make a little bag to put the journal in. This i a great give away.
Have a great day,
Julie
How lovely. I love the red plaid bag you made. So cute. What a sweet thing to do.
Susan
Yeah, I love giveaways...even if I don't win, someone does, so that is still fun! Thanks, Kimmie!
I would love to be included in your give away. Please put my name in the hat. My email address is on my blog if I win for you to be able to contact me.
I am hosting a give away too. If you have time you can hop over and put your name in there - it would be a hoot if we won each other's giveaways. :o
Blessings,
~Martie
Thank you for doing this Kimmie. Both giveaways are so cool. God bless you.
Can you include me too? love your blog, and reading your inspirational thoughts on life. God is using you to bless many many people.
Kimmie,
I tried to post this a while back, but Blogger was not being cooperative. You have inspired me to come up with a giveaway, too. :)
Chris
Kimmie,
You asked about Mrs. M's fabric stash. I only know her name from the labels on the boxes! She sold Avon in the 1960s and packed all her fabric, patterns, etc. in Avon boxes. I happened upon the sewing related portion of her estate in an old auction house. I have so enjoyed going through each bit of fabric and even the patterns she cut from newspaper. I like to think she would be pleased that her stuff has found a good home. :)
What a beautiful thing to do! I'd love to be included in the giveaway...
thank you Kimmie!
Me, too!
I would like to be included in the giveaway too!Jill
This is such a neat idea, Kimmie. I love that you prayed over it. Count me in!
Hey Kimmie, my computer is back up and running and I was just catching up with you. Put me in on the drawing too! I love all of the scarves that your daughter made. How cute they all look in them. I am going to read all of your other posts that I missed too.
Well, here in our house we have dubbed 2008 as The Year Of Organization... not just baskets and totes and the placement of shoes... but hearts and souls and prayers as well. So, I love the idea of having a journal to organize our prayers and our words from the Lord. Great idea. :)
This is such a thoughful way to extend God's love to others. Please count me in as I am a mother of 4 and need my time with God daily.

Hi Kimmie,
Thanks for stopping by my place the other day. It's always nice to have a visitor! I love coming to your place and reading your journey and what a privilege it is to pray for all of you too! God is good, isn't He?!!!
Please enter me in the giveaway too! I would love to win this bag and notebook and I am pretty sure my Bible would fit in it too because I carry a small one.
I've been going to counseling with my Pastor and his wife for some issues with my husband. One of my homework assignments was to write down anything and everything I am thankful for. Well, let's just say that I have already filled the book up! It's easy to find blessing's even in the midst of such trials. But I would like to ask for prayer as my husband is far removed from the Lord right now. Nothing hurts worse than seeing this. Pray for me as I find the words of wisdom and as I focus on glorifying Him each day. Thank you so much!
I would love a "God Speaking" notebook. I have noticed His still, small voice in my heart a lot lately as He is very faithfully leading me through a difficult, but wonderful, healing journey right now. Even if I don't win, I appreciate the suggestion and will start a notebook of my own! Thanks for the inspiration, Kimmie!
Love, Camee
