8 days until Ethiopia!
We packed her bag last night...we packed the donation container as well. We half packed my suitcase...time is drawing near. I need to finish up all lose ends at home, do some freezer cooking so that my sister n love isn't overwhelmed with the job as primary caretaker while we are gone. Need to put the finishing touches on Little Beauties room and sew a few more fleece diaper covers...Oh, I need to call the cloth diaper service...better go, lots to do.
Princess Sunshine holding my creation that was given to a sweet friend of ours for Christmas. I think she was practicing for when her new baby sister arrives. I know my arms are aching to hold Little Beauty too.
Thanks for your prayers, we covet them!

Lord, I ask that You provide safe travel and smooth activity over in Ethiopia. May everything fall into place. Amen.
So cool!

I love your creation! Very cute! Eight more days will fly by and soon you'll be holding your precious baby in your arms.
In answer to your question, we have adopted through foster care. We don't have to declare up front whether were fostering or adopting (although our licensing worker knows we love to adopt and we are certified to adopt). Basically, all our adoptions started out as "legal risk" cases. However, some have been "easier" than others. We have had to send several precious children home and it's not easy, but we understand the God is sovereign and trust Him with each life he brings into our home.
Kimmie, I've been following your journey to adopt for quite some time and it's such a blessing to see you so close to having you precious blessing join your family!
Blessings!
Diane
I can hardly believe it's coming so SOON, now!
Hooray, Kimmie!
The time has come. The gift of a baby. From your Father. For your arms to hold.
I could weep with joy at the goodness of God.

I was thinking of you on New Year's Eve when our friends were here with their 9 month old daughter. I thought, "this is about how big Kimmie's baby will be!" Amazing! I so excited for you!
Just reading the title made my heart race for you. I am SO excited that your days of waiting are down to single digits!!

Oh my goodness ~ only a few more days until your daughter is in your arms! Praise God for that.
