When Fear and Doubt Try to Win
I have to confess that I have been fighting fear and doubt as of late.
What could make this be?
Certainly not me, a woman who has seen the hand of God move in such incredible ways to form her family.
But alas, in truth I have to admit that I have believed the one who is King of the Liars. The evil one has been telling me to quit, to walk away from this current call of God on my life. He is telling me I am too tired for the battle, that this adoption will take too much time and effort. He is telling me to just take a look at how long it has taken us to be paper ready for this adoption. He is telling me that much needs to be done around our home, things that will cost money that we just don't have, especially with needing to finance another adoption. He is whispering over and over to quit and to chase after the things of this world.
Can you believe for a minute that I would buy his bag of lies, that I would even ponder not obeying God and following Him into another blessing?
This morning I bowed my heart before God, He spoke to me through His Word.
Psalm 91-1
He that dwells in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
Psalm 46:10a
Be still and know that I am God!
Silly, silly girl.
Out fear, out doubt and come anew Holy Spirit and help me to trust You with my paths.
Your Word says that you lead us down paths of righteousness (right-ness) for your Namesake.
So come Lord and have your way.

May you be wrapped tight in His perfect love, because His love casts out all fear, kicks it, stuffs it where it belongs, incinerates it, obliterates it, sends a tsunami to wash it away ...
Your life is a legacy of God's provision and love not only to the children blessed to call you mom, but also to the lives you touch and inspire here in blogland.
Take your sword friend, destroy the enemy and cut off his head just like David. Your little one is waiting for a family that knows Jesus.
Be blessed bunches,
Sarah
I know the feeling. My head has been swirling with doubts and fears lately, especially tonight. It's so frustrating, isn't it?!
May you rest in the shelter of His wings...He who began a good work in you will be faithful to complete it....do not become weary in doing good for in due time you will reap a harvest if you do not give up....The Lord gives...blessed be the name of the Lord...
The best thing you can do during times of doubt is get into God's Word and be refreshed with the TRUTH which is what you did! Believe God, Kimmie!
Blessings,

Ha ha - the silly old devil! Like you would be foolish enough to listen to him. The thing I do find amazing about this guy is the number of ways he can find to try and throw a spanner in the works.
Oh, friend, I wrestled & wrestled with our last adoption, but the good news is that all that wrestling, the doubts, the fears, everything gives us the opportunity to remember that we can't do it alone...WE NEED HIM! And He loves nothing more than to walk with us.
Not sure if you've mentioned, but where are you called to adopt from this time? Would love to know what He's been whispering to your heart!
