Happy May 1st friends~
my very favorite month of the year!!!
Can I pray for you (or with you) this week? Please leave me your requests in the comments or if you don't want others to be praying too, then use my sidebar email address to drop me a note. I am eager to hear what it is that we are going to be believing God for!
from my heart:
I am taking some time off in the month of May to press in to God. This doesn't mean I won't be blogging, but it does me that I will be adding a new series called,
"Jesus and me."
Sometimes in life we come across seasons of *aloneness* and times when are hearts just grow heavy. I find myself in one of these times. Back in March I felt the Lord telling me to take hands off my normal routine and spend a month alone with Him (in my case it was *friendship time* that was to be given up), but I have to confess that I shared it with a girlfriend and she talked me out of it.
The battle I have been having is in the realm friendships
(not that I don't have them, but that I wanted to deepen them),
my girlfriend knew and said instead let's try this.
Now, with hindsight I realize that I should not have strayed from what the Lord said to my heart.
Perhaps if I did, the heartache that came last week,
could of again been avoided.
I am still a work in progress in this area of my life!
I am not sure what this series will entail, but have heard His whisper and want to move with His Spirit. So, drop back by and we'll see what we get to learn...in this case it will be, "Jesus and me,"
(meaning; you too!)
Now go enjoy your beautiful gift of May 1st...I am taking a book and sitting on the loveseat on my deck.
Soaking in sunshine and hoping to also soak in some Sonshine!
Soaking in sunshine and hoping to also soak in some Sonshine!
Hope your day is happy and that your heart is in His hands.
Psalm 25:5
Guide me in your truth and teach me,
for you are God my Savior,
and my hope is in You all day long.

I always like to drop in and see what you are up to Kimmie, I only wish you could inspire yourself the way you inspire others.
By the way I've arranged my blog so you are able to look in on me in the normal way again.
Can I join you in your alone time with the Lord? (In that I'll be checking in on your blog to see how it's going and adding you to my prayer list ~ not to distract you!) We've moved to a new state about a year ago and I have yet to find a friend despite trying and trying. My husband has plenty of friends at work and my kids have found really good friends as well. I'm thinking the Lord wants me to be uninterrupted for a reason. (uninterrupted is a good replacement term for "alone" ~ haha) I have acquaintances and long distance close friends, but there really isn't anything quite like a buddy to drink a cup of tea with and share some girl time with or to swap recipes or talk about deeper things face-to-face.
I will pray for you, Kimmie, as you follow His shadow. It's a safe, good place to be.
