Twirly Skirts in Action!

Okay-it has been awhile since I posted that I was going to sew one of these 'twirly skirts,' that came from a tutorial at Erin's blog. I finished them awhile back, but forgot to take pictures the day of their debut off the hanger and into their summer church wardrobe. They got so many compliments that they were beaming. Thanks Erin for blessing my girls-it meant a lot to both of them. (being that both of my twirly girls were adopted out of foster care-they missed out on being fussed over and loved-so we so enjoy the opportunity to let their self confidence soar!)
It was really my generous friend Randi that posted her twirly skirt all done that inspired me to head to Erin's wonderful tutorial, *** even someone as sewing challenged as me could use (thanks so much Erin-you are a sweetie!)

The two adorable models are the new owners of the 'twirly skirts.' They enjoy matching each other and being asked if they are twins (too funny, as they aren't at all alike physically!)

Makes you want to spin around and let your pigtails fly free!

They are so beautiful (the girls... the skirts are precious, too)! I love their braids, as well. My six year old is super-twirly, herself... I just might have to make one. :o)
