Knitting Mittens...check!
I am in love with knitting. These mittens took 2 days to complete. Soon we will be overtaken with mittens, as I am pretty sure I am a mitten addict.
This yarn is so soft and has a lovely sheen (Patons Shetland Chunky, color 68046)- to my surprise it is 75% acrylic and 25% wool. I am not an acrylic fan, something about the feel for me.
We've got a little yarn shop down the street from us, need to go check it out, as I bet Priscilla (the owner) has some groovin' yarn. I have a pattern for toddler socks and one for *baby bell bottoms*-hoping I can read the patterns and get a few more knitting projects checked off my to do list.
How about you, doing anything challenging this summer?

Hi Kimmie, believe it or not when I was young Bob I once knitted something, not sure what as it turned out but if I remember right the project started off as yours, the difference being I can tell what yours turned out as in the end. They should keep someone nice and warm this winter thats for sure. Bob.
Very cute, Kimmie! Good job!
I love to knit- fall or winter only for me, though. But double-pointed needles terrify me, so I never do anything too challenging. :)
Thanks for *your* note. I love knowing that you're praying with us and for us...
I am so impressed! I'm a pretty basic knitter and regularly try not to covet a good knitter's projects. I always think "someday I will learn how to read a knitting pattern and do something cool like socks and mittens!", but you know how somedays are...those ideas just get put on a list at my house :-p
Blessings,

I'd love to knit the lobster style mittens, ones with the index finger and thumb each with their own space. It is so nice outside right now I think I'll wait until winter to try that project though.
Hi Kimmie,
I can just do one stitch. One year everyone I knew received a scarf in their color for a Christmas gift. The other difference in scarves were the needle sizes... I've tried to follow directions to my my hubby a ski cap, then tried to make mittens, just couldn't figure them out....
Nice job on your mittens.
Will there be any for sale?
Maria
Kimmie,
You've inspired me to write my own list! Nice job on the mittens.

Yipee! I'm glad you got it down! They look like they would be so nice to wear in the winter. Did you hear the Dinsmore baby is here? Can't wait to meet him! Sue
I've never knitted a stitch in my life, so I have the utmost respect for anyone who can!! You've done a great job!! Looking forward to seeing your further creations!
I would love to know how to knit, but don't. And I don't have any close friends who are willing to teach me. I guess, eventually I will have to teach myself.
LOVE the mittens!
