The College Student

Hard to believe how fast time comes and goes.  Seriously I need to stop blinking and slow things down a bit.
Our sweet Ethiopian has begun her studies, dabbling in getting her feet wet in higher education.  This is her first experience outside of her home education, here in America.  She is eager and ready.

We are several weeks in now and up to our eyeballs in assignments, but she is enjoying this new step in finding out what and where God is taking her.

My First Carved Spoons

What does a girl do when she just can't sleep?

She gets up  at 5 am
(well actually 3, but my feet hit the floor at 5 am)
and decides to do a photo shoot of her hand carved spoons.
Pardon any blur, but did I mention I only got 3 hours of sleep?!!

How does one go from mother of 8 to a spoon carvin' Mama?

Well, I have loved old wooden spoons for awhile. I always look about to rescue another from the heap, but this came with a sudden interest in trees that lay by the side of the road and needed rescuing.
(Do you see a theme in my life?  Haha)

So girl tells her husband that she wants to carve spoons.

He cocks his head and says something like, "Really?" (in his head he was thinking, 'Don't we already own like 50?'  He has such a sense of humor, maybe I have 20).

So said husband takes it upon himself to make a blank for the wife.  (Meaning he didn't want me to use the ax, as he likes my fingers as they are). Since this time I ventured to Brimfield Antique Show and bought myself I huge carving knife.  My homemade daughter says it is for gutting bears, the old man I bought it from was worried I had evil in my heart and made me promise I would hurt anyone with it.  To which I assured him I planned to only carve wood and never ever draw blood, not even my own if I could help it.

I watched a few videos on YouTube.  Took the roughed out log which now if you squinted really hard could make out a spoon somewhere behind all that extra wood. And began to remove all the extra (mainly used a chisel, gouge and a homemade wooden mallet my Knight made me, from you guessed it, rescued wood).

Wallah...spoon #1 after 5 plus hours of chiseling and carving.  In the end I sanded her with 3 types of sandpaper in varying coarseness, then made a wood butter to slather on her,
so she would be 'real purdy.'

I am in love with her.  She may not be perfect, but I took her out of a piece of wood that was chopped down by a tree service (now I never saw them, but I imagined they were sent in to trim up the trees for our safety).  I think she is a red oak.  On the list of woods NOT to begin with, but hey I am not a huge follower of rules. I like to make them as I go ;}

She landed in our library parking lot during one of the last snowstorms and a tree service came and chopped her up and left her lying there all sad and lonely.  She was happy to see us coming!  My strong son  hoisted her into the tank of mine, that some refer to as a very large car, which is perfect for wood gathering.

#1
Spoon # two was trouble.  An experienced carver would have thrown her into the fire, but as you have guessed, I stuck it out, knots and all. (note to self, see knots and pick another piece of wood).  She is also some type of hardwood...oak?  I had a hard time reading her grains and kept hacking out pieces that were needed.  So she came out more like a spatula.  But though she is imperfect and perhaps ugly, I love her.
(see her trying to hide behind my beloved #1?)

Look!  They make a heart when placed together...
okay I might be tired, but doesn't it look like a heart?

She really fits nicely into my hand and will make a nice mate to love #1.  Now I am working on spoon #3.  She should also go into the fire, as she has a worm hole and a knot too~ in her handle and bowl.  But I can't bear to quit on her, so I continue to work into hour 3 on her becoming a spoon. I mentioned her negatives to my Knight and he shrugged and said that it would give her character.

Spoon making isn't for the weak or timid.  You have to use knives, axes (yes I went and bought my own and then my man bought me a smaller one...haha), hook knives, chisels, wooden mallets...all sorts of beautiful woodworking tools. All new to me, but becoming a rather large collection.

Ask me what I got for Mother's Day this year.  Tools!!  My son-in-love came in and was like, "Whoa, aren't you wanting jewelry or something more girly?'

It also requires hours of time, and an eye to draw it out of hiding. A strong back is good too.  But I think this comes with the hours of time that goes into each new work of art. I have drawn blood, but nothing that needed more than a paper towel clean up.  I actually felt more like a woodworker after the blood incidents.

I feel like an artist as the spoons suddenly manifests from the log. They were hidden in there the whole time, but just needed a gentle coaxing to come out.

I imagine it is like me as God continues to shape me into His image, never quitting and lovingly shaping, turning, a touch here, a bit more there and then carefully eyeing up rough spots that need to be honed to a smooth glass like finish.  A finish that reflects the Maker and in the case of my spoons, their maker.

They love each other ;-)

I am a spoon carver.

I can't wait to try new shapes, new woods, new tools, old tools and all the gadgets that my husband keeps picking up at the auction for me.  I think he loves that I am happy and that some of my pent up artist is coming out, even if it is 'spoons!' in his mind. Afterall, for years it was soap.

Did I mention that I am going to carve kuksa and bowls too someday?  But for now I will hone my spoon- making skills. And let me say, 4 children have had their hand at spoon carving now too.  Seems it may be contagious! I have so much to learn, looking at these pictures makes me think maybe I need to slather on a wee bit more spoon-butter onto my darlings.

I am a woodworker hear me roar!

The Moose!

The Moose

One day I was driving along with my husband on a weekend getaway in New Hampshire, and low and behold there is a moose munching away in a field alongside the road. I was so excited I nearly jumped out of the car.  All weekend I had been asking where were all the animals, we had ventured off snowmobiling and hadn't seen nary a creature.  Just a minute before I had asked God, 'Why no animals?' and bam,
 'moose to order!'

Now I know a few things about moose, one being to stay away from them. However, I needed to get a picture of her (him?) while the getting was good.  How often does one see a moose?  I needed proof and a little time to use my new camera on the capture of proof, that we had seen this grass munching, frozen faced moose.

Many cars passed us in our 15 minutes of trying to get close enough to said moose, without becoming an aggravation to it or accidentally freezing to death.  My brave husband got out of the car with me and we slowly crept down a ramp to a ledge that would get me close enough to pop off a few pictures.Yeah, that is love.  No one else seemed to care about us or this moose, they just flew by, as we nearly froze to death trying to get her to smile
(I mean not kill us).

The moose immediately popped up from eating and gave me the eye.  She was a good 50 feet from us, but she was letting me know that she saw us and we better not try anything.   We definitely didn't try anything, but she wasn't convinced.  She couldn't take her eyes off of me, I felt loved.

We told her she was lovely and thanked her for the photo shoot before carefully climbing back up to the car.  My hands were frozen and I was sure that fur must be the way to go, as my new friend wasn't even shivering.

She is pretty cute isn't she?

and speaking of cute and lovely...
If you have another second~ pop on over

Beautiful Crocheted Gift

My daughter used her amazing craftiness to crochet this amazing bag for my birthday.  I love all the colors and the pattern. I am in love with the moss green now and mixed with all the other colors, well it is just delicious.

I am always amazed when they surpass the one who taught them in their skills, yup well beyond my skill level.  However, I am glad to be the recipient of such a beautiful hand crocheted bag.

And if you're interested, she has a crochet business!
Bella would gladly chat about what it is that you'd like to have her make you or someone you love.

You can check her out at:

Hope you had a great weekend and are now enjoying your Christmas preparations.  Today I got the opportunity to meet up with my brother and sister-in-love (who happens to be my best friend) and did a woodland Christmas photo shoot with my new camera.  Fun, fun and a bit nippy to the toes!

Enjoy your week!

Perspective... Where Are You At?

What is your perspective of this picture?

So often where we are standing gives us the perspective that we arrive at.

This wasn't challenging enough for you...

well how about you take a moment to read this...

Trying Something New!

Ever wish something new would happen...
it's spring and I am going to link up with
Why, well because it is good to try new things!

For Today... April 27, 2015

Outside my window... a gentle breeze is whispering through the old rhododendrons that sit affront my study window. The grass is beginning to green and the ruts in the gravel driveway are beginning to dry out in hopes of new pea-stone arriving for spring.
I am thinking...about listening for God's voice.  He gently woke me up this morning at 5 a.m. and we read 1 John chapter one and two together.  I am looking forward to rising early and listening for His sweet voice.
I am thankful... that after a course of 9 weeks with illness, that I am finally feeling stronger. Have begun to add homemade Kombucha and Kefir into my diet in hopes the probiotics and B-vitamins give me a much needed boost.
I am wearing... a turquoise zip-up, a black t-shirt and pair of comfy black leggins.  My ped socks started off clean and after several trips outside to the recycle bin...(I threw on my garden clogs) are now feeling less than pristine.
I am creating...a gigantic pot of vegetable stock with all the bits and pieces of veggies that I have saved over the past 2 weeks in  bags in my freezer.
I am going...into the woods later to drop off snacks to the 3 raccoons we raised 3 summers ago. They love snacks and we love to empty out all the leftovers that are past their prime.  I have a huge sack of bread ends and muffin bits that came from leftovers from feeding the homeless this Saturday.  My friend who runs clean up in the kitchen, always makes me a raccoon-to-go-bag.
I am wondering...about a door God opened into prayer ministry at my church.  Is it finally the time that I can be part of the prayer team!
I am reading... Highly Sensitive  by Carol Brown.

I am hoping...for reconciliation with two friends.
I am learning...to keep my eyes and heart on Him and not on the circumstances that make me sad.
In my garden...daffodils are just pushing up. We are raking up the sleepy beds to put down fresh brown mulch.

In my kitchen... the school books are spread out over the table and counter; as three of my 6 children finish their lessons for today. The stock quietly bubbles its approval.

In the homeschool room...my oldest daughter quietly reads with her back against the pellet stove that is still running, though it be almost May! The others have dispersed to read with a cat or cuddle under warm fleece blankets.

A favorite quote for today..."Let me see, the rest of my life is open, I think I can fit you in."
A peek into one of my days...

One of my favorite things...quiet time with God and my journal; to capture what it is He wants me to know.
From the board room...

thinking it would be pretty in the garden.

A Love Note

Quite often I think of something that would be interesting to share, but life jumps in the way and perhaps lack of motivation, somehow my thoughts never quite land as I would like here.  Really I blame my Kindle that my husband bought me two years ago...seems she keeps me from the computer where I use to blog regularly. That and my Pinterest addiction.

Summer is officially here and hopefully more time for this mama to share her thoughts with you.

At the moment I am up to my neck in yard work.  We hit a streak of rain and I kind of stopped gardening stuff to maintain house stuff.  Throw in having the last three rooms of our first floor wood floors being refinished, well you have another reason no blogging occurred.  Hmm.

The floors look amazing and we are currently on the search for some larger area carpets.  I searched several non-carpeting stores with no luck (Home Depot, HomeGoods...).

Well actually I thought I had some, but then after we carted home three new rugs, we quickly decided they were totally not the right size or color and had to be returned.  So back they went and the search for a 5 by 7 rug and a 10 by 12 rug and then an 8  by 10 rug are in order.  Hmm, and a runner to go along the hallway with that 5 by 7 rug.

I really would love to find wool rugs, as I find them to hold up under our "destructive" living ways so much better.  Also dark and lots of colors seem to hide so much of life that occurs here.  Now you'd think I was asking for the moon, really.  It just isn't that easy.

My Knight is telling me to try some online carpet sites, but this little housewife is a tad leery.  I have the same problem with ordering books (curriculum for our home school) without first fingering through them, sniffing their pages (okay, maybe only the old ones I buy) and seeing if it will work for us.  The thought of not touching a rug or feeling the density of the pile just sends shiver-me-timbers down my spine.  But post this posting, I am going to see what my dear Knight has bookmarked for me to peruse.

He says that the shipping is free, as is the returns on these sites he has found.  I just imagine me carting all these rugs back to the post office (which is near Timbuktu in correlation to our home) and trying to jam them back into some cardboard tube.  Did I mention that I can't fold sheets?  Well, maybe the flat ones, but never the fitted. (and yes, I did bookmark on Pinterest what the secret to folding them is, but honestly, it still, no matter how I try to tilt my head and figure out what all those steps mean, doesn't quite happen as the picture shows.)

Perhaps this will go differently than I am painting it for you, guess we will see.

How are you doing?  Are you up to your neck in projects?

I always imagine summer to be filled with lazy days and reading tons of books that don't seem to manage my attention any other season.

The littlest Princess has a stack of laundry that looks more like a mountain than a mere load to be put away.  So I am off to do that first. Did I mention that Princess Mercy loves to wear all her clothes and that she had on 4 different outfits just today.  She is very passionate about dressing and what she should be seen in at any given moment. (sounds like a photo shoot opportunity and a blog post!!)  I am sure someday it will bring a huge smile to my face, but for tonight I am not quite dancing at the thought of getting it folded and put away.

Princess Mercy did say she would help me, in that cute 6 year old voice.  She said, "Mama I am going to put my pajamas on and then we can get to work."  As I finished drying the dinner dishes with the older girls, I saw her in a 5th outfit (that wasn't pj's) and saw her slip quickly out the front door to the soccer field that is our front yard at the moment.  It's World Cup time and the children here are out trying their skills in between popping on the tellie to see who won, who lost and who perhaps will be the ultimate winner of it all.

Okay, I let her slip past, because I was avoiding it too.  But now I must tend to it, or it just might ruin my hope of reading my library book tomorrow.

I am  also trying to read a book called The Spiritual Man by
Watchman Nee.  Not a particularly light read, but one that I am currently fascinated by in learning about soul and Spirit. He uses the word, "soulish" which I had never heard termed before.  Interesting and amazing how God works it in after He has opened it to you.

Love to YOU...hope you'll drop me a line or two back...I could use a few love notes!

Hoping for Spring!

Can't wait for the end of winter.
It has been a long cold one this year.

Getting sick of cold weather, totally ready to burn the winter clothes and run barefoot through the grass.  Well, if my front yard had grass, currently it is a lovely mix of snow and mud.

Sick of white, or dirty white.  Not craving brown or anything that clings to you leaving you the same brownish hue.  Hoping for green, and purple and yellow.  Spring is coming, the little birds in my yard keep singing its arrival...maybe I should try whistling a spring tune?

How are the colors in your world today?

Wordless Wednesday

As I snuck in some Word ...guess our post won't be Word-less.

Hope your day is filled with all sorts of good things.

I know my posting has been sporadic, to say the least.  I am afraid that perhaps the cat has my tongue or that somehow I have lost my way in how to attend properly to this ole blog.  My heart is to fix this and get back into the swing of regular sharing with you.

So much to be said, both things of little importance and big.

So much for Wordless.  Perhaps I should just write...tee-hee.  I have broken all the rules of how to post wordless...but I am so pleased with myself for having posted!

Off to live in today. Thinking of you and praying His hand upon your heart.

And now for some Linky Love!

Oh how I love tofu...never had it the first half of my life,

A Thought on Heaven

Ignore this random picture of my bad-boy cat Tobin and my favorite little recycled Christmas tree. The tree was a summer find.  It was thrown out to the road in a gigantic box.  I jumped out of my car, stuffed it in my tank (i.e. giant car that fits 10) and raced home with it.  Sad to say, it was meant for the trash and not for some other loving home, as it used to be white and had now yellowed with age.

However, the tippity-top of this said enormous tree still lit without is counterparts. It looked at me with its sparkly white lights and still pristine white branches and said, "Keep me, Love me, Enjoy me, don't toss me aside!"

So I plunked her into this old copper bucket and it has been adorning our living room since then
(yes, I love Christmas and lights!)

This post has nothing to do with either though, really.  But today as I was wrestling with the pile of Tupperware and ghetto Tupperware that we have, I have decided firmly that there will be none of either types in heaven.  I am certain that stained, lid missing containers, that refuse to stack or actually fit properly would NEVER be allowed in heaven.  No Tupperware needed at the feasting we will do in heaven, yippee!

The Word says there will be no tears, so guess Tupperware is out.  Sick of fighting with my too small cupboard space and the endless lids and bottoms.  As often as my Knight tries to reduce our reusable containers, or rushes out to find stacking varieties, still the same saga continues and I am no friend of it.

Oh heaven, another reason I love you and long for the day we will meet.

Not sure why the plug to my glorious little tree is sticking straight out in this picture, mind you we are normally careful about such matters. So, I will make sure the next time I shoot to share, that it is properly prepared for your eyes. (snicker-snicker).

Oh happy day!

How I Became a Gluten Free Vegan

Two weeks tomorrow~ a gluten free vegan girl, that's me!
I have been a vegetarian for many years, as I am lacking the enzymes to properly digest meat. But gluten free and vegan are totally a new adventure for me.  Never saw it coming, but so glad that it did!

I crossed paths with a library book called The Virgin Diet, by J.J. Virgin and I decided it was time to make some changes.  For years I have been surrounded by my children who have their own food intolerance's.  One has wheat, eggs and dairy, which she had pretty much been denying were even an issue.  Another daughter is constantly complaining that meat hurts her stomach and that even with no meat that she had heart burn, at all of 14 years old.

Myself, constantly tired.  Bone tired.  And quite sick of well meaning friends telling me I look tired.  Just saying that is annoying when you are mustering all you've got to put yourself out there and not just stay curled up in your pjs in bed.  Also, my eyes didn't look good.  Constantly dry, red and scratchy and to the point that I just couldn't wear my contacts. The numbers on the scale also kept slowly creeping up, which wasn't huge, but did make me feel not quite great.  Just basically feeling yucky and not vibrant.
So, I began reading the book and gleaning ideas to get us going in doing a clean.  The book recommends a 21 day period that you get rid of the top 7 food culprits:

gluten foods, eggs, dairy, soy, corn, peanuts,
sugar and artificial sweetners (also avoiding all processed food).

Now, as I began sharing what I was learning, my two top food related complaining daughters, said they were in too (which was a pleasant surprise).  They are not eating vegan, as they still eat chicken, but are reaping the benefits of clearer skin, no stomach aches, no heart burn, weight loss, nails that are growing fast, more energy, and a clearer head, with no more brain fog.

I had been thinking I needed to give up my beloved dairy for the last year, but couldn't quite give up my lattes with full fat milk frothed to perfection.  Nor my cheese fests that I nightly shared with my cat Hope.  (cheese heads unite!)  But then I hit bottom, with a bad prescription for my thyroid (it caused shingles and high blood pressure)...and I realized I needed to get control back. Also challenging to give up tofu, as it is one of my favorites.  But somehow I am more than managing, though I know tofu will come back in once we get this body of mine into behaving better for me.

The good news is I am feeling great.  I lost 10 pounds and my eyes are clear, I am able to wear contacts again!!  Sleeping better, my energy level is improved a zillion percent and I am down to one coffee a day, with no cravings.  Honestly, the coconut milk I am using to replace my beloved milk is good.  I am not hungry or craving anything.  I think I look much better, but guess the proof will be from those around me in the coming weeks.

I am not sure if I will remain purely vegan, but I am seriously considering it, as I feel so much better.

Gluten free vegan cooking is not that hard.  I peruse the Pinterest boards (okay, I may be addicted to Pinterest).  I am Kimmie Bluesky if you want to check my Trying Gluten Free Vegan board.

The book is helpful, but honestly, it is the premise of cutting out the top food troublers, that really is the solution to feeling better.  Making the decision, then just sticking to it, is the best way to get going!

I will keep you posted...
off to bake something gluten free vegan...
perhaps those yummy brownies that I bookmarked this morning!

Words Are So Like Candy!

words~like candy to me
something that can float around in ones mind
and stir those quiet thought filled places, like no other thing can.

today I thought of some words:

a basket full of skirts~
as I pulled one down, to layer under my summery pocketed cotton dress.
Wouldn't this be a cute name for a blog?
pine cones in a rambunctious line~
my hoarded collection, from various locations I have wandered to,
standing in a row in my boudoir.

Christmas lights in a tangled spherical mass~
until the plug engages the socket,
and reveals the glorious brilliance that was hidden in the heap.

dirty boy hands, feet and faces~
that accompany hard working sons, ones that willingly push the no-gas needed lawn mower.
a pocket full of rose petals-
a little girl's joy in stuffing her pockets so she will smell like Mama.
an abandoned bird feeder filled with helpless little wrens~
Mama and Papa wren tirelessly running to and fro with food for their never-full brood.

flickering green lights that dance in the window, on an arid evening~
waking me first with fear and then reassurance that summer is actually here!

10 Good Things About the Flu

Okay, you know how you take lemons and make lemonade,
today I have decided to make some flu-aide so to speak.

10 Good Things About the Flu
(well maybe 11)

10.  Gas...(not that kind!)
You save a lot of money on gasoline, cuz Mama ain't driving anywhere.
(week 4)

9.  beauty rest...
You get lots of it...when this is done I am sure I will be radiantly beautiful.

8.  the economy...
Buying $100's of dollars in cough syrup
and such has to boost the economy.

7.  pantry...
You are given an opportunity to use all those items that are soon to expire from your pantry shelves. Things that you forgot about, suddenly inspire the next meal.

6.  freezer ...
Yup, same with the freezer(s).  I am amazed that we still have food to eat after 4 weeks of the ravages of the flu hitting the entire house save one
(the 16 year old Ethiopian has an awesome immune system).

5.  responsibility...
It allows your oldest children the opportunity to learn how to run a household.  When the Mama is not able to crawl out of bed, the biggies get to play the role of Mama, until she can muster the strength to come down and do it herself.

4. hair...
Somehow, don't ask me the science behind it,
hair thrives on neglect.  Who knew?

Though I have constant bed-head, which in some circles is considered *sexy*, my hair is soft, shiny and healthy; especially compared to the rest of me.

3.  Reading...
When your brain and eyes aren't screaming out in pain,
you can really get a lot of stacked up reading done.
Managed 3 whole books in the first week. And the plus is, you don't even feel guilty about laying in bed and reading!

2.  Creativity ...
Creative genius must come out of such situations as the flu.

I find myself thinking rather deep thoughts in the bouts of coughing-middle-of-the-night-fits.  Perhaps, I will manage to write the great novel after-all.

1. Quiet...

Be still my heart, the home is so quiet.

Now this is not the norm in the house of 9, especially with two boys who are just a year apart.  Afternoons are filled with napping, the few times I have managed enough energy and have been up in all my *big girl* glory, I have really enjoyed the quiet January moments that the flu has given to me.

Now I am sure this is not an exhaustive list of reasons to be thankful for the flu...but it is a good start.
Hope you got a good laugh and that you avoid it like the plague this flu-season.

 And thanks for the prayers,
without them I am sure this would be far worse!

and just thought of another one:

#11.  coffee
Found I am not addicted to coffee...don't have any desire to drink any.
If there was withdrawal symptoms, I missed them because of all the wicked effects the flu gives you.

Don't know whether it is my sense of taste is greatly diminished and it just doesn't taste good anymore.  Or if your body digs down deep and tells you to avoid it, so that you can up your beauty rest and get better.

Have replaced coffee and visits to Starbucks with water, tea, herbal-ly concoctions and vitamin drinks that my dear sweet flu-ish Knight keeps forcing upon me.

10 Things Always in my Fridge...

This picture from a while back reminds me of refrigeration (don't ask me why)...

*we have three refrigerators at our house always up and running.
(another post might just be our freezers).

10. cheese (sorry Christina,
my dear Hungarian friend and lover of Jesus...
but hater of cheese...

...I am a lover of cheeses).
 usually Parmesan,
 Asiago,
extra sharp cheddar (we prefer white),
 Mozzerella,
American,
Provolone,
Muenster, (which my oldest lovingly referred as *Monster Cheese for most of her childhood*
some variety of Blue cheese
and sometimes a hunk of Feta.
(and though we have fresh cheese in large supply, we also have the green jar of Parmesan as a back up).

my motto: When in doubt, eat cheese!

berbere is made at home in Ethiopia, which means each family has their special recipe.
berbere can be mild or kicking hot!

8. brown mustard
 (love it snuck into everything!)
well maybe not everything, but I really like it.

7.  jam and jelly
 (currently we have
orange marmalade,
raspberry,
 blackberry,
 grape
and strawberry rhubarb...
some are homemade other store bought.)

6. eggs
I buy 72 eggs every 2 weeks.  we use them in baking...we love to bake and also for quick dinners or lunches.  eggs, yum!
when it is warmer I switch over to our local free range farm eggs...currently the chickens must be too cold to lay, as every time I stop by they don't have any eggs in the cooler.

5 Sweet Hungarian paprika
again, love to baptize so many different things with this spice!

4.  fruit
always:  lemons, apples, oranges
sometimes: grapefruit (red), kiwis, grapes (love the black), limes, watermelon, raspberries, strawberries, blackberries

occasionally:  ppomegranates (my favorite!!) and blueberries
hoping for more blueberries, as last summer we planted 4 bushes on our front hill.

of course there are loads of other fruits that we don't refrigerate...
mangos, cantaloupe, pineapple, bananas...but we are talking about my fridge ;-)

3.  butter  (and Fleischmann's unsalted butter for Princess Sweetness)

normally I buy a four pack at Sam's Club,
(and there are usually at least 8 1 pound containers in the freezers.)
but if I am shopping at Restaurant Depot I pick up unsalted which is much better for our baking.

2.  peanutbutter
Little Princess Mercy loves herself a peanutbutter sandwich
 (she loves all food,
 but this is her favorite.
add jam or fluff and you have a party in her mind! ask her, everyday is a party!)

1.  salsa!

vats and vats of salsa.
love it hot, love it fresh (if it is summer), love it loaded with cilantro (YUM!)
of course love in in a 7 layer dip (we omit the meat and keep it vegetarian friendly),
but that is another post I think.

I might be an addict, just saying.

 What's in your fridge?
