Back on the adoption horse

We have once again entered 'paper-stage' (our dossier is in this UPS box) of our latest adoption-
we are finding it mentally hard, as we had this all done and ready to go last year-we already played the waiting game, never mind that we have to repay to get everything up to current for this year...a few months make a huge difference , especially when 3 little ones have also been added to who you are. Please understand we are excited, but that this road can be long and emotionally exhausting. (I know because I waited last year to get to #1 on our agencies list, only to have to make the phone call asking them to please place our file on hold).
My arms so ache to hold the baby that we know God has for us.

We are waiting on a baby girl list...though we are open to siblings and/or a deaf child. We are hoping to have our dossier ready to mail out in the next 6 weeks-though right now the stack seems amazingly huge and the task giant.

Please come along with us on this journey and see what happens along the way- may we keep our eyes on God! It is an exciting adventure-hope you will join us, we sure could use your encouragement and prayers!

Proverbs 3:5-6
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, lean not on your own understanding.
In all your ways acknowledge Him, and he will direct your paths.

Hi Kimmie, I left you a note on Chris' blog to consider this your morning sickness, now I see that you've been through this before!

Blessings on your journey,

Yeah! I'm excited to watch this journey unfold for you! My cousin (who adopted two boys from Guatemala) is in China today to pick up her long, long-awaited daughter.

YAY, Kimmie! :)
I am so happy to hear this. So, Guatemala is the country?

I pray that your adoption will go smoothly and that you will soon have your little girl.

We have been waiting for our gifts from Haiti for 17 months. I sometimes feel the kids will be ready to graduate from college before they get home!

This is exciting! Will your child be from Guatemala for sure? I am 25% Guatemalan so this makes me extra excited for you!

I wish you well on this journey. My sister is going through it for the first time right now and it's a rough ride but it's worth it when you know what you're doing is right.

hello kimmie! it has taken some time to get even a tiny bit caught up with things in order to send a short note over to you. i am so excited for you and your family in the journey! i like what sue said, THIS is your "morning sickness"! how wonderful to be able to trust God's hand even when things seems very hazy and unsure. praise God HE is always sovereign and is perfect in His timing. my heart longs for more children to adopt. because of our 7 year old and his intensive problems, it does not seem remotely possible. but it is special to live vicariously along with you on this blog as you wait for your babies to arrive. may God bless you dear sister and new blogging friend. keep your hand in HIS. love, julie
