Help...Calling All Large Families who are adopting!

This is both a shout out to those who are in adoption process
(or who have very recently adopted- having a large family)
...and for prayer.

We are in a quandary as what to do-

I know we have grown silent here in the midst,
please understand that when one is in battle,
sometimes remaining quiet is the best way to fight the enemy.
However, their is then also time when the sword and shouting is the way to defeat the enemy you find yourself against.

Time to take up the sword!

here is what we have been busy with,
related to adoption over the past 3 plus years:

1.  Prayer and feeling the nudge from God to begin once again the *adoption process*

*my husband and I both felt this nudge

2. Getting approval of our state to adopt

*our crazy state decided that 6 children should be the cut off.
*after 18 months, they said they had given us *pre-approval*
we thought this was for prepping us to adopt here in the U.S. , which led us to an agency that did child rescue from abortion and placing them into Christian adoptive homes.

3.  We signed on with an agency that did adoption through their birth crisis pregnancy center...

*only to have them tell us after 2 year that we would not ever get chosen,
due to our family size.
*(frustrating for both the time and energy spent...
as this was not what they told us in the beginning of our sign on with them).

4.  To which we then returned back to where our hearts remain:  Ethiopia

*we chatted with our last agency and decided to get our home study ready for Ethiopia
(we were already home study U.S.A. ready)
*this was this summer...but then...

5. Last week when our social worker (working on our home study) called our agency...

*we learned that the program was no longer something they were recommending,
due to changes in adoptions within Ethiopia.

OH MY!

...

BUT...

our hearts are peace-filled.
we are seeking God.
He has spoken a few things to me ...

and so...

I am also reaching to you
and asking you for help...

Prayer! Want it?

Here i am, offering to pray.  Anyone interested in joining hearts and seeking heaven together?

Personally, I would like to confess that i have been battling fear.  it has been sneaking up on me.

God has been silent and it has left me in doubt, instead of strong faith.
i really am struggling and crying to Him to remember me.

Have you ever struggled thinking God forgot you?

let's be real and admit that there are times when we just feel forgotten, not due to sin or anything that intentionally separated us from Him (sin), but the silence stays too long and we need Him to come.
as much as i call to Him, still He remains silent.  as much as i pray, still He is silent.  as much as i seek Him, still it feels like i am alone.

real, just me being real.

and i know the Word.  i know perfect love casts out fear.  i know that He has promised to never leave us or forsake us...but I know Daniel, David and well Jesus, cried out to Him not to forget them.
(really, look it up in your Bible, it's in there)

just saying.  i know David asked to be remembered...

so if you'd like to pray for me...i'd really love that.  and as i spend a lot of time in prayer
(and in the Word), i'd be happy to pray for whatever is on your heart too.

xoxo

Adoption...this Mama needs prayer

First, I want to say that God is Sovereign.  No thing is impossible for Him.  He is faithful and He is Lord over all...over every orphan, over every agency, over the plans of all who love Him, certainly.

Let it be known, "I am a lover of God."

that said- I am struggling big time.

We are using a U. S. agency that is a birth crisis pregnancy center.  We have been with them for 2 years.  We were told the wait would be between 1-3 years.  We have not heard from them for nearly a year.  I have been waiting patiently knowing God knows where our daughter is.  We felt confident in choosing this agency way back when.  I have lost confidence, my spirit is shaky.

Two days ago my Knight contacted the agency.  He made an appointment to talk with our caseworker.  It wasn't good news by any means.  She didn't encourage us to stay the course.  She recommended going another avenue in pursuit of a child.

She used the word, "trend".

I hate that word.

Seems that the trend is against us.  Seems that the enemy wants me to quit.  My soul is very heavy and I don't know what it is that I am to do.

I am praying.

I am fasting.

I am listening for guidance from Him.

We could easily switch to another program.  We could switch from the African American program...we could do many things, including choosing a new agency.  We could of course say enough and walk away.

Honestly I need help.

Please don't read this as a discouragement to adoption.  I love adoption, my passion is adoption.  God loves adoption and cares about every orphan that this world holds.  Actually He holds them in the palm of His hand, waiting for families He calls to come for them.

Adoption is a path to His heart.  A path He sets; a path that takes time.

We have run this race many times before.  Both with great successes, but with several defeats.  The defeats were not to harm us, but to have us cling to Him more fully.  Every closed door led us into an open door to His will.  Those closed doors sometimes took years, but always as we pursued Him, they led to His perfect will.

My family is standing in a place that we can't tell if the door is open or closed.  I am confused and honestly very emotional.  I want His will.  I don't want to go off His path.

Clinging to Him, but would you stand with me in this.
I could really use some friends and some serious prayer.

thank you.

Prayer Request Sunday

Thanks for dropping by my little neck of bloglandria, would you like some prayer today?
Please leave me a message and we can begin believing God together this week.

If you feel led to pray for me and my family...we could use some tables for the wedding.  We need probably about 30 altogether.  The bride-to-be would like them to be round tables, but of course would be thankful for any we could get.
The mother of the bride
would like to have the tables checked off the list, so she would know what size tablecloths to buy.
The wedding is 60ish days away now.

Prayer Request Sunday

Gathering up prayer requests...
do you have any?

Sharing my heart:

I found out yesterday that my beloved Picnik (photo editing site) is closing down as of April 19th.

I am heartbroken, as it was a source of such joy for me over the past several years. I found it a release of the pent up artist inside of me.  I loved tinkering with their program and truly loved it.  Oh how sad I am.

Prior to using Picnik Premium, I dabbled with Photoshop Elements.  I didn't enjoy using the Elements program, because honestly I just couldn't figure it out.  Back then I had a friend who tried to walk me through it, but even then it was a huge struggle to end up with what I wanted.

Would you pray that I would be able to find some other program before this online one is no more? Something that will let me use the artistic side that God has blessed me with, but one that won't rob me of hours of time.

And just so you know, when my 20 year old daughter told me yesterday I cried. Yes, I know that there are far more terrible things that people go through, but this is like losing a dear friend whom I love.

I pondered closing up my blog, as most of my pictures get a few moments being tweaked before their deposit here. It makes blogging more fun for me.

I am in prayer asking God if my time is up...perhaps?

Or maybe in His love and mercy He will send me a Photoshop mentor (knowing instruction manuals don't really work for my visual artistic learning style.)

Prayer Request Sunday...A LITTLE BOY WENT HOME TO Jesus

Happy New Year all my friends.
Hard to get my mind around another year rolling in, but alas they seem to be coming hard and fast.  I hope you enjoyed your end of the year celebration and that you are ready to embark on an exciting New YEAR!

Do you have any prayer requests? Let them roll and we'll jump in and hold them up together before the Lord.

I have a request myself, would you join me in praying for my special friends Laura and Ian?  A few short days before Christmas their 4 year old Josiah, went into the arms of Jesus.  Would you hold them up before God, as I can't imagine their pain in losing sweet Josiah.

They are such a beautiful family- I know you will love them too! Please let them know you are praying for them...it will bless their hearts I am sure.

Prayer Request Sunday-Life and Death

Prayer Request Sunday...

It seems like ages since I have been able to sit and compose a thought here.

Life has been busy, perhaps simplifying last month changed my perspective on blogging time.  Perhaps it was because within a few days of each other, I lost two men who were part of my family.  Men who influenced my husband and I to live the life we are living.  I had two funerals on the same day and a heart that is heavy with the thought that no longer will they grace my life here on this earth.

However, both men were Christians and someday  I will join them in heaven, for now I will love on their wives and hope that both of these women find comfort in those who are left to help them carrying on.

I want to be the kind of person these men were, yet I find that I am not there yet.  They were true lovers of people, they were servants through and through, 24/7.  They did for others because of love, not because of guilt, or for others to notice,
but because they truly loved others and they loved their God.

Both of these men had impacted hundreds of people in their life time.  They had begun touching lives in their youths and continued on until God called them home. We waited for over 2 hours to say our condolences to Vinnie Diana's wife and family.  The line of people snaked down the street, police were hired to help with the traffic during the calling hours. People of all ages had been touched and blessed by this man-who by God's grace had lived life to the fullest and even in pain reached out his life to touch others right up to the end.

Vinnie and his family began to touch my life when I was just a girl...he was the second Christian family I ever met..He showed me through His beautiful family how to be a Christian.  At his table I saw how to say grace and give thanks to God.  In his home I learned what family should look like.  Through his *large* family (7 children) I saw love constantly on display for the world to see.  I saw respect and honor given to parents and true love given from parent to children and each child back to both parents. Each child has left the nest, but remains an active and loving part of each others lives.  I have never in my life seen *HONOR your Father and Mother* lived out in such perfection.  It makes me wonder how they set this foundation into being way back when.  Perhaps, Gloria can mentor me in raising my brood in such a manner.

I watched this family for many many years- beginning with my friendship with a girl who lived near them...then  later, my husband's first job in his field was begun as Vinnie welcomed him into 'his family'...it was never just a business, always about family.  They were some of our fondest memories, being part of their doings, both inside and outside of work.  We are thankful for the years we had under Vinnie's wing, we only wish they continued, but God had other plan's for my husbands career.

We will always hold them in our hearts, they will always be *our family.*

The second man showed me weekly his servants heart through his selfless service to His God in our church.  Paul Euliano Sr.  was a lover of God!  He loved to make people comfortable and at home within the church family. Paulie also did this outside the church walls-a man after God's own heart truly.  He spent himself to allow others to be blessed.  He had the gift of conversation and would quickly draw you in and make you feel like you were the only person in the world.  He was always comfortable and always generous with his time.

Often we spoke of family and how quickly life passes.  He took a great interest in my family and was always asking how each was doing. He encouraged me in parenting and in raising my sons.

Paulie had a heart for us and each adoption God called us to.  He was sometimes perplexed by another *call*-perhaps that we went from 3 to 6 children...then to 7 and 8 quickly, as God led the way.  I think maybe it made his head spin, but he laughed and would always ask how we were doing and if we needed anything.  Of course his wife Betty did the same.  Paulie and Betty loved us and blessed us over and over.

Paulie always made me comfortable and welcomed in my church, though he was unaware of my sometime struggle with feeling at home there.  What a blessing to see his face greet me at the door, with a hug and a , "Hi Kimmie!"  I will miss him terribly, truly I loved him. Now I will be blessed to love his own and help them with their tremendous loss.

Last night as I put Princess Mercy to bed, she said, "Mama, I miss Mr. Euliano already."  Out of the mouth of babes.

We rejoice that these men are now pain free and with Jesus in Heaven.  May God strengthen us to do the task as they did.  May our lives, my life, bring God as much glory as theirs did.  I am emptying myself and hoping that He will let me influence others too.  May people look at my life and my family and see Him, may my life point to Jesus and His never failing goodness,
the way theirs did.

Life is short...and I want to live it to the fullest!

Would you like prayer...? I'd love to pray with you this week...

Prayer Request Sunday (and a prayer request)

Hi sweet friends!

Can I pray for you this week...
please leave me instructions on how we can join hearts
and lift your burden to our loving Father.

AND
if you would like to pray for me...
on Monday
we have a phone interview
with the adoption agency...
seems like we have to pass this hour and a half phone call
in order to ACTUALLY be accepted into their program.

We are praying for wisdom and favor, but bits of fear keep trying to rise in my heart.
I know it is silly because God is calling us, if not to this agency,
then He will direct our path to where our Shalom is.
  But still,
we feel like this is where we are to stand and believe...
would you cover us tomorrow afternoon?

thank you...
and I hope you will be bold enough to leave me what is on YOUR heart!

Would You Pray for my Mum?

Would you pray for my mum?
She accidently ran over her dog, he died in their arms this morning.
She is very upset and really could use some prayer.

My mum-in-love also called crying this morning, seems today they got news from their vet that their young dog has terminal cancer.  Both my mother-in-love and my father-in-love are very upset at this news.
Not a good week for the doggies I know and love.
Thanks for praying for us...
we are healing up after having to put our 6 year old Golden Retriever, Hunter, down Monday.

Isn't it nice that we can hold each other up at times such as these?

Ethiopian Orphans Need OUR Help

We have got word (not rumor)
that adoption to Ethiopia is in trouble.

Our agency, All God's Children International has asked us to rally the troops to action.  The orphans need our help or they face the reality of hope for no future, no dream of adoption to come for them.

My daughter shared with us that for 3 months there was NO food for the 54 orphans in her orphanage.  They got one small piece of injera (a flat sour-dough bread) that they would divide into three meals.  They cried out to God to please send help to them, their need was desperate, it was real. She lived in an orphanage for 5 years, she cried out daily for God to bring her a family.  God heard their prayers and sent a woman to help them, she began to find them homes and families...
and this is my testimony;
that I am one of those homes that she found.

Won't you sign the petition ,
aimed at Prime Minister of Ethiopia, Meles Zenawi.
We are urging him to reconsider the recent decisions made on behalf of the orphans of Ethiopia.

I love this country,
I love these people,
my heart cries desperately for the orphans.
Let our voices be heard,
please share this very real need with your readers (Twitter, Facebook, Blogs...)
so that we can get 250,000 signatures before March 12th.

We have to take action...won't you join us?
And would you please pray that adoption would not be stamped out of Ethiopia, as it has in so many other countries.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Announcement...and Prayer Request Sunday

Praising God, because He has spoken to my heart.

As I was listening to a podcast on my ipod this past week, (by Steve Stewart from Impact Nations), God spoke to me in a HUGE way.  As some of you know, we are in process to adoption.  It has been an uphill, downhill rather confusing type of paperwork chase this round.  We thought we were going to Ethiopia, but the door closed, we have been working on waiver forms with our state to get us past their "you can only have 6 children" rule.  We continue to battle and wait ...knowing that God will make the way, His perfect and pleasing way.

But this week God enlarged my vision...

He has put destiny into my heart with this larger vision.  In the past we have looked to Him in naming our children, this week as I sat on a stationary bike, peddling away, He spoke to me the name of my daughter.

He has put in my heart a rescue mission-one that would save a wee babe from abortion (maybe you noticed the love note on my sidebar).  I have been praying and waiting on Him to move.  I can't say that it hasn't been difficult, perhaps I have found this the hardest road yet in the adoption call.

What He spoke changes everything.  He spoke the word Shalom.  I linked so that you could read what it means and hear the Word spoken over my sweet yet to be daughter's life.  God has a plan one of protection, safety and wholeness for her life.  Praise God!!  We are now praying for her by name and believing God to continue to open doors for us to get to her.  The road is still rather long, but we are thinking it will lead us to Lifeline and our beautiful African American daughter.

Thought you'd like to know and that you too would add our Shalom to your prayers.

Would you like prayer this week?

Its Cancer

I took my sweet companion Hunter to the vet today. Hunter is merely 6, but has had a hard life.  We rescue/adopted him from the Humane Society 5 years ago when he was one.  Seems he was trouble for his first owners and they had enough of his destroying their home. He was perfect for us, when he came there were only 3 children in the family.  I begged my husband for a big dog, because I knew as we grew in family size that a dog would be the last thing I would convince him of.

Hard to believe that in 5 short years we also added 5 children to our family...
along with the enormous dog with the fuzzy Polish chicken feet.

The first tumour came in 2007, since then we have battled this strange mass, but today it decided it wanted to take control of all of us.

We were hoping they'd be able to remove the tumour growing in his mouth.  Once before we had surgery for it, this time they said they were positive it was cancer and inoperable.

I was thankful that my girlfriend Beth insisted to go with me to the appointment.  I didn't think I needed her, but was so glad she was there, because my mind was not working...

The people were talking, I could see there lips moving, but the words didn't make sense.  The receptionist asked me to put my dog on the floor scale.  I didn't know what she meant.  Beth pointed kindly to the huge new floor scale for Hunter to stand on.  How would I get him to stand (he is 125 pound of muscle) on it.  She said, "Didn't you put cookies in your pocket for him Kimmie?"  I was like, "Oh, yeah, thanks Beth."

Beth asked the questions, she dug a little deeper, when my throat just felt thick and tears wanted to pour out on the floor.  This is my dog they were standing there moving their lips about.  All those big words meant that soon I would be without him.  Too soon.

My heart hurts, as there are no other options for us, but to decide when to make his final trip to the vet.  He isn't suffering (yet) but we know he is beginning to feel uncomfortable, as the tumour has grown considerably.

If you think of us, would you pray.  I am so sad. I know he is a dog, but he is mine.  I love him, even if he is a lumpy dog who doesn't listen so well.

In a lot of ways, I think we are a lot alike.

Princess Kimmie...a true life Tale

In an imaginary land, far-far away lives a girl who loves to sleep.  She so longs to lie her head upon her sweet little twin bed set and dream of all kinds of goodness through the wee hours of the night. But alas, the wicked evil dragon called *sinus infectionario* has kept her without such beauty rest for well over 3 months now. The Princess' summer slipped away and heavy is her princess~y little heart.

The Princess is down right sick of it and is ready to do battle!

Three months this poor Princess has taken umpteen medications, to help her poor sinus dry up and behave.  Alas, in a last ditch effort to enjoy the beautiful land she had been bestowed by the Kind King, she made a call to her very real doctor.  She begged for one more antibiotic to kill said evil dragon.  Said doctor agreed that this would be the last of the medications used to slay said evil dragon.  At $156.00 for 10 pinkish pills, the Princess nearly fainted dead away.  But realizing that perhaps this was the golden ticket to beauty sleep and to a returned sense of sanity, she began 3 days ago to take the new wonder medicine.

Poor Princess, she doesn't do drugs.  They make her wired and she looses even more sleep than before.  But the Princess is determined to be in the land of Good and Plenty~and to enjoy it.  So she happily takes her pills, doesn't sleep so well in her little bed, but longs for the moment when she not only will breath again- but longs for the sense of smell and taste as well to return once again to her life.

The only happy part of the story so far, is said Princess is very thin.  Actually, said Princess' doctor said she was worried.  Said Princess said, "Ha!" to the doctor, as now she can actually wear all the Princess clothes she had outgrown with the last big feast, awaiting the adoption of 2 Princesses from Ethiopia joining the family. (we won't say the Princess put on adoption pregnancy weight...but one can imagine it, if one would like.)

Skinny pants, but no sense of smell and no appetite aren't so good.

(although the Knight seems to think said Princess is looking rather sharp, or so he has proclaimed to her in the quiet moments that once and awhile come.)

So please PRAY,

because if this doesn't work (which the Princess is believing and hoping it will)...said Princess has to go to get a CAT scan at the hospital...and her insurance ain't what it used to be, so let's all believe that the wonder pills do their wonder and save the Princess (and her family) from any more suffering and sleepless nights.

Sorry posting has been so flat lately, it seems to come with the rather flat feeling Princess' life.  Hoping to be back to the sparkly happy Princess, full of love and life once again.
And...
Hopefully, the story will end in 7 more days...

and she LIVED happily ever after!

Prayer Update

I wanted to update all of you on my visit to the hospital.

I didn't get the opportunity to go in to see Chris.  I didn't get to pray with any of the family either.  There were many people who came to sit and wait with the family, which was nice, but no opportunity to pray.

I did get to know Chris's mom much better; I am hoping God makes us friends.  She has been through so much in the last few years, watching her husband struggle with various forms of cancer and then last year (after a 10 year battle) he died.  Praise God, she had 4 of her 6 children sitting in the ICU waiting room with her last night.  What a beautiful family she is blessed with and what a mother's heart she has, such a devoted loving Mama. She needs Jesus though, as does all of her family.

Please keep praying for Chris and his family...as I will.  He will be in ICU for a while, so perhaps the next visit will give me a different opportunity to minister God's love to them.

Yesterday for a few moments Chris opened his eyes up!  The MRI (first of 2) showed no trace of seizures, though they saw what looked like many Grand Mal Seizures (not sure I spelled that right?).  They now think that as they reduce his meds. of sedation, that the pain level soars and that the shaking his body manifests, is from the pain he is in.

Please pray for healing for him (physically and spiritually) and for strength for his family as they wait.  They have been told that on Monday, that they will no longer have a suite at the hospital to stay in...which will make it so much harder on all of them.  Praying that God shows them favor and lets them stay close to Chris.

Thank you friends!

Join Me in Prayer Today (PLEASE!)

A need for prayer...

I have a friend who has a huge need...her husband was crushed under her car, July 4th. He was trying to work on her muffler and then the car fell on him.
We need to pray, as Chris and Lodamia don't know Jesus.

They have two small children who are really having a hard time. Lodamia is struggling because she didn't hear Chris's yells for help (but luckily before he lost consciousness, a neighbor did).  He was flown to the hospital in Lifestar (his second time that he has been flown to the hospital in bad shape!)

God has put it on my heart to go pray with Chris (and Lo)...but honestly without God making a way I won't be able to, as Chris isn't allowed to have visitors due to the seizures.  Even Lodamia isn't allowed to go into his room very often due to the great number of seizures he is having.

God has showed me a vision of praying for Chris and walking him through accepting Jesus as Savior.  He has told me that though Chris is unresponsive, that he is still able to hear and understand.  I am willing, if He makes a way.

The plan is to go sometime tonight with my sister in law and my friend Brent's (see yesterday's post)...wife.

Would you boldly believe with me for a way into Chris's room tonight.  Would you believe with me for their hearts to be prepared (for Lo, for Chris, for Chris's mom, who recently lost her husband to cancer).

In my own strength my prayers are just words...but in God's power they are words of Life.

I will confess that though I LOVE to share the gospel and am not afraid to pray with anyone at any time, that this situation has me feeling a bit undone around the edges of my heart.  I seriously could use some prayer warriors to join me in this mission.

Thank you in advance...

Let the Kingdom of God come today for Chris and his family as it is in heaven.  Seeking God for His will to be done on earth, as it is in heaven today for this family.

Time to Go! (Adoption Ethiopia 2010)

Soon we will find ourselves once again in this country that God has etched on our hearts.  Soon our feet will once again step on its beautiful soil.

Oh Lord, how eager we are not only to see Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, but to fulfill the mission you have called us to.  How our hearts are thumping in anticipation of holding our gift from you.  We are excited to wrap our arms around her and to tell her how much we love her.  Thank you for asking us, thank you for enabling us, thank you Lord for this amazing incredible journey.  Please bless each of those hearts that you called to come along side of us in this journey.  We are amazed at your love and favour that we have seen poured out into our lives.  All good gifts do come from You and we receive each of them with joy!

I leave you with scenes from Ethiopia from our last journey to love (2009).

and who we are going to bring home...

The Prayers of the Righteous

Last night my youngest son spoke the blessing before dinner.  I heard him say in the most sincere voice,

"Lord, thank you for our fund-raiser. That was great.  Father, we still need a little more money, okay?"   He also asked that God watch over our Ethiopian daughter and protect her until we can bring her home to our house.  He closed his most sincere prayer with, "in Jesus' name, amen!"

It looks like 4 weeks until we will need the rest of the $23,000 to bring our sweet girl home.  We continue to bend our knees and hearts toward God, who is able to answer our prayers.

*remember my giveaway!

Urgent Prayer Request-court date-Ethiopia

As I type this, it is almost 5 a.m. in Ethiopia.  Today is my daughter's court date (March 3rd in Ethiopia).

I just found out, through an email from our agency that she will have to go to court and stand before the judge. She will be answering any questions the judge may have.  She has been told to answer with confidence and sureness before him.

Would you pray? Please!!?

My daughter is very shy, this is such a big deal in her little life.  I am told that all children over 10 years old have to do this now.  My mother's heart wants to go with her, wants to hold her and assure her that God will be with her, that she is NEVER alone.  I don't know if she knows this, would you pray that God's peace and love floods her.  That she has the words that need to be said and that she gets favor before this judge.  Please pray that no fear would rise against her, that she would be filled with God's Spirit in this.

Thank you. I am feeling very emotional.  When I am weak then He IS strong.

Prayers Needed-really!

Good-morning my awesome friends! Thank you for all your prayers and encouragement yesterday-how loved we felt!

The furnace is back on...thank you for your timely prayers. The diagnosis was~ it was running to *rich*...whatever that means. (funny, considering how low we try to keep it these days),  *She* has some major damage the furnace guy said, though he got her running, she still will need upwards of $1,000 to keep her going.  Something about a coil, and a cracked ceramic box that needs replacing. And the words, "A lot of damage."  We will try to hold off, but will seek God for what He wants us to do-as dumping more money into a furnace on the edge of *life* may not be the best.

On to today's prayer need:

We need our I 171 H, like today.

It is for our adoption and without it our daughter can't come home to the United States.  Our agency set us an email, asking us to call our Congressman today- without it we are in BIG trouble.  Would you pray that we get issued this-like immediately.  We HAVE a court date March 3rd in Ethiopia!!

We need this paper ( I 171 H) and we need the Ministry of Women's Affairs (the group that handles orphans in Ethiopia) to submit all of their letters/paperwork in time for this March 3rd court date.

  • *I 171H (immigration -our final determination letter from the U.S. government)

  • *for the phone call to our Congressman to get ACTION -we need that paper in hand!

Trouble at our House...prayer!

AS you know, we are believing God at our house.  We still have great financial need for our adoption...last night a new situation arose.  There was smoke, and a furnace that seems to have given up the ghost.  This fall we were told she was on the way out.  But as the new furnace would cost $9,000. we opted to hold off.

We have a call into the furnace repair people, my Knight stayed up all night keeping the fireplace going in hopes to keep the house warm.  So far it is still comfortable inside, but I have to tell you we are in the midst of a snowstorm, expecting 7-9 inches today.

Would you pray and ask God to provide for this.  A definite need here at our house and you know the money is desperately needed to bring our daughter home from Ethiopia in a few short weeks.  We do NOT want to delay her adoption, her coming home, us being able to hold her...we need God's help.  We can't put off buying a new furnace (if that is indeed what they tell us this morning)...

I will not be afraid, I willnotbeafraid, I will NOT be afraid...
God tells us to FEAR NOT (like 365 times in the Word, one for each day...I will claim today's fear not)

Philippians 4:19

And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from his glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus.
